Abstract

Description

The proposed frame can be used in beekeeping for the production of sectional honeycomb.

Known frame for sectional honey honey [1]. A cut out fragment of bee honeycombs with sealed honey is placed in it and given to the bees for revision. The disadvantage of this frame is the difficulty of fixing the frames in the holder frame. Fasteners to the intermediate strips are carried out using wire or threads embedded in the corners of the frames.

The claimed technical solution is focused mainly on the use of wax. Closest to the claimed technical solution is the hive frame [1], in which mini-frames made up of half frames are fixed on a single sheet of wax inserted into the holder frame. Thus, the wax acts in this case as a supporting structure.

However, the bees rebuild the honeycombs and fill the frames with honey at the same time. Therefore, difficulties arise with the subsequent use and placement of unfilled honeycomb frames in the hive after removing from the frame those frames that are ready for sale with sealed honey.

The purpose of the proposed technical solution is to eliminate the noted disadvantages. This goal is achieved in that the frame for section honeycomb honey, including the holder frame and the frames inserted in the holder frame, consisting of two half frames, characterized in that the half frames are made with flanges, between which a wax is clamped, the upper and lower bars of the frame are made with longitudinal grooves for flanging the frames when installing the frames in the holder frame, and the intermediate strips are each divided lengthwise into two blocks, and one of the blocks is fixed in the frame stationary, and the others are fixed after installing the frames nuts in a holder frame.

There is also a variant of the frame for section honeycomb honey, when the intermediate strips are each made with a through slot almost over the entire length except the ends, and the side strips of the holder frame are equipped with U-shaped guides along which the ends of the intermediate strips move. The guides are made in the form of four plates with a length along the side planks, two of which are fixed to the side planks permanently, and the other two, after the frame is equipped with frames.

Figure 1 shows a cross section of a frame for section honeycomb honey in a vertical plane. 1, 2 - upper and lower bars of the frame; 3, 4 - an intermediate strip with a slot in the middle or divided into two blocks; 5 - frames for section honeycomb.

Figure 2 shows a half-frame with flanges on one of the ends. Two half-frames can be made with a common flanging of adjacent walls (Fig 3). In this case, a notch is made in the middle of the flanging, and the wax is clamped between the half-frames when the workpiece is bent into a frame. Flanges with a wax between them are fastened with a stapler or clamps.

Instead of wax, fragments of bee honeycombs with or without honey can be inserted into frames.

The use of the claimed hive frames will simplify and speed up their preparation for installation in the hive and will increase the production of section honeycomb.
