- -6- 4 sproporção de solução caustica para óleo igual a 1:4. Se o óleo tratado se destina a ser usado como óleo combustível, o seu teor máximo de sódio é 15 ppm, pelo que tem de ser lavado com água contendo 0,5% em peso de ácido sulfúrico. A filtraçao é a melhor maneira para eliminar o precipitado residual do óleo tratado. No entanto, os óleos tratados são muito difíceis de filtrar devido âs reduzidas dimensões das partículas de precipitado (inferiores a 1 micrometro). 0 Requerente descobriu que, mediante aquecimento a 130 a 140°0, o precipitado coagula e a filtraçao do óleo torna-se relativa-mente fácil. As dimensões do vaso de aquecimento devem proporcionar um tempo de residência de cerca de 1 hora. REIVINDICAÇÃO Processo para a desmetalização de óleos, caracterizado pelo jfacto de compreender as seguintes operaçoes: a) aquecimento do óleo a desmetalizar a uma temperatura compreendida entre 70°C e 130°C; b) aquecimento de uma solução aquosa contendo 3 a 6% em peso jde hidrogenossulfato de amónio e 1 a 5% em peso de ácido oxá-lico a uma temperatura superior a 70°C; c) adiçao a solução b) de etoxinonano previamente aquecido a uma temperatura mínima de 80°C; d) mistura intensa do óleo obtido em a) com a solução aquecida em c) e separaçao das fases mantendo o sistema a uma temperat superior a 80°C e e) tratamento posterior da fase oleosa por sedimentação, arras tamento por vapor, extracçao cáustica e filtraçao.
