Abstract
The system includes an ablation catheter (1) and a connection assigned to this at a high-frequency generator, at a controlled or at a regulated high-frequency ablation apparatus. The catheter has at least one electrode (2) to treat the tissue by power, preferably high frequency power, and at least one thermal sensor (3) assigned to the electrode, for determining the temperature of the electrode. The unit for determining a parameter which is related to the temperature difference between a temperature measured at the electrode and the temperature in the tissue in the vicinity of the electrode. The determined parameter is the power transmitted in the tissue, and the unit for determining it is a power detection unit. The ablation is carried out essentially in a specified and regulated catheter temperature.
