Abstract

Zgłoszenie dotyczy mieszaniny smektycznej o strukturze smektyka monowarstwowego (SmA1) o dodatniej anizotropii dielektrycznej i dużej fotochemicznej stabilności, która jest przeznaczona do wytworzenia przesłon okiennych lub wskaźników z pamięcią. Mieszanina jest złożona ze związków fluorowanych pochodnych bifenylu i terfenylu wybranych z rodzin związków opisanych przedstawionymi wzorami 1 - 12 i domieszkowanych jonowymi pochodnymi amidyny i/lub kompleksami utworzonymi z soli potasowych i eterów koronowych. Do zapisu informacji jest wykorzystane zjawisko dynamicznego rozproszenia - przejście ze stanu mlecznego (rozpraszającego) do stanu klarownego lub odwrotnie jest uzyskiwane przez zmianę częstotliwości pola elektrycznego. Ponadto, przedmiotem niniejszego zgłoszenia są związki o budowie jonowej, a także sposób przygotowania mieszaniny, modyfikację jej właściwości elektrooptycznych przez domieszkowanie fluorowanymi związkami czteropierścieniowymi i/lub pirymidynami i/lub fluorowanymi cyjanozwiązkami. Zgłoszenie zawiera także: urządzenie pełniące rolę szyby okiennej, sposób napełniania wskaźnika lub szyby materiałem ciekłokrystalicznym oraz pochodne pirymidyny.
