Abstract

The subject of the notification is a method of utilization of flotation waste from the process of copper ore enrichment from sludge deposits, in particular with the participation of carbonate, sandstone and shale rocks in this waste, which is used in the utilization of waste directly from the current production of copper ore concentrates or from a storage site of this raw material, in particular with various mineralogical and petrographic composition, that is, with the participation of carbonate, sandstone and shale rocks. This method consists in the fact that the waste - in the form of finely ground rock also containing residues of main metal minerals (Cu, Ag) and associated metals - originating from the current production of copper ore concentrates or from the landfill of this raw material, known methods are separated: the coarse particle fraction is is the sand fraction and the residue of heavier minerals compared to gangue, and the fine-grained fraction, i.e. dust clay. The coarse fraction is directed to gravitational enrichment, in which the concentrate containing Cu, Ag, SiO2 is separated and then it is returned to the enrichment plant, moreover, from the gravitational process, a stream of coarse particles predominating with quartz SiO2 is separated, which is classified, drained and concentrated in a node. Water from this process is purified in lamella settling tanks. Fine-grained fraction constituting a rock material with silty-granular granulation, containing aggregates of Ca and Mg carbonate rocks and SiO2 sand residue in an amount of <20%, accessory amounts of metal-bearing minerals and fine-dispersion material - clay with a predominance of minerals carbonate calcium Ca, magnesium Mg, clay minerals as well as trace amounts of non-ferrous metal minerals, dehydrated, concentrated and filtered.
