Abstract

Disclosed is a mounting unit such as a standing bracket (10) or window ledge support (110) for single- or multiple-layer panel heater units (62, 162) with convector plates. The mounting unit consists of a base plate (26) or window ledge support, a standing tubular element (32) being held in said support and preferably of rectangular cross-section, and a holding device (34) for the panel heater unit, said holding device being fitted on the tubular element so as to slide and capable of being secured to the tubular element by a sleeve (35) which grips the pipe and by a locking screw (36) extending from the sleeve to the tubular element. A thread (37) for the locking screw is formed from one side wall of the sleeve (35) to one face of the sleeve; a strip or wing (44) parallel to the sleeve originates from at least the contiguous side wall of the sleeve perpendicular to the thread and the cross-section of the said strip can fit into the vertical air passage space (68) formed by the convector fins or plates (60) of the heating unit (62).
