Abstract

Tamper-evident closures are known in which the tamper-evidence remains attached to the closures after initial opening. However, the tamper-evidence is not always that clear and therefore it is desirable to produce a closure which more clearly shows it has been initially opened. This may be achieved by having a tamper-evident closure (10,110,310,410,510) comprising a base (20,320,420,520), a lid (25,325,425,525), and a tamper-evident member (30,130) frangibly connected to a lid side skirt, and becoming at least partly hidden from view upon first opening of the closure.
