Abstract

The invention relates to a blank (10) for producing a packaging, with a longitudinal (20) and a transversal sealing edge (30). This blank (10) has a rectangular design, and the sealing edges (20, 30) each extend in the immediate or at least very close proximity to the outer periphery of the blank in such a manner that when folding the blank along a folding line (40) running parallel to the transversal sealing edge (30), this folded part can be joined to the opposite seal-free edge (50) of the blank while forming a fin seal (70). The packaging produced in the aforementioned manner can, after opening the fin seal (70), be reclosed while forming a lap seal (80).
