Abstract

A closure for a container neck, comprising a top wall and a- side wall, the closure comprising an internal abutment for determining a maximum extent to which a container neck can be introduced into the closure, in which the top wall is axially spaced from the abutment such that an axial extension portion is formed axially beyond the abutment.
