Abstract

The proposed invention relates to a multi-antenna communication system that provides a mechanism to select when to use at least one communication channel, or in multiple channels simultaneously, depending on parameters such as required data rate, battery, protocol data unit (PDU) drops, channel noise, congestion, among others. The mechanism may be incorporated in smartphones and other smart appliances with an ultrawideband (UWB), Bluetooth low energy (BLE), or any user device with multiple antennas of different communication capacities. The invention further utilizes channel metrics, such as device metrics, application metrics, and user requirements/preferences; covers AI as a method of subset selection of communication channels; and implements middleware cover software solutions, such as software-defined networking and soft routing.
