Abstract

Provided is a motorcycle lighting device which is equipped with a vehicle type identification light having a lighting mode different from those of a headlight and turn-signal lamps, and actively notifies surrounding vehicles, especially the driver or the like of a vehicle in front, of the presence of a motorcycle traveling at night, thereby preventing motorcycle accidents before happening and allowing the safety of drivers to be sufficiently ensured. This motorcycle lighting device is characterized in that: the motorcycle lighting device is provided with a vehicle type identification light 30 that emits light in a color different from those of a headlight 10 illuminating the front of a motorcycle 200 and turn-signal lamps 20 indicating the travel direction of the motorcycle 200; and the vehicle type identification light is controlled in such a manner as to flash, for example, at predetermined intervals, thereby making it possible for the surroundings to recognize that the motorcycle is traveling.
