Abstract

The present invention was accomplished for purposes of obtaining a dried fruit that retains the original shape of fruit even after drying and has good texture without impairing original fruit flavor. A dried fruit containing sucrose and a sugar alcohol (B) having a melting point of 180øC or less, and having the following features. The sucrose is contained in an amount of 10 to 60 pcnt by weight with respect to a total amount of the dried fruit. A value of a sucrose content ( pcnt by weight) with respect to the total amount of the dried fruit/a sugar alcohol (B) content ( pcnt by weight) with respect to the total amount of the dried fruit is 1.1 to 15.0.
