TECHNICAL FIELD w
Jom
The present invention relates to an inert gas lamp disposing machine consisting of a so housing that includes a top surface, fluorescent tube entry chute, CFL lamps and incandescent - pt bulbs canister, crusher and grinder housing assembly, electric drive motors and flange ge 1.01 bearing sets, vacuum air pumps, a sets of filter modules, proximity sensor and dust tight plastic waste bin with sizing screen. This parts and elements will ensure the safety disposal processing operation of crushing and grinding the waste fluorescent tubes and lamp bulbs to prevent the operators from danger in doing manual packing as previously practiced. The crushing and grinding process will protect the environment and its habitats from possible harmful toxic waste coming from busted fluorescent tubes, CFL lamp and incandescent bulbs if it is broken outside, considering that this kind of waste can’t be thrown into landfills.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION o
The inert gas lamp disposing machine that is being used for safety disposal of the end ow of life fluorescent tube, lamp and bulbs consisting of housing, a top surface to form a cover, - a fluorescent tube in feed chute, CFL lamps, CFL lamps and bulbs canister that fixedly ~ attached to the top surface of a housing, a crusher blades or flails that is used to break the - tube, lamps and bulbs glass, the grinder housing section having a set of intermeshing plates += with teeth fixedly attached to the auger type steel shafting that further reduce the size of a = crush glass and draws the grinded glass and aluminum caps into the dust tight waste bin, a o set of vacuum air pumps and filter modules that suction and holds the mercury vapor - released during the breaking of tubes and bulbs glasses. A proximity sensor is used to - monitor the full content of the waste bin and shut down the motor operation, the ultra violet (UV) light that helps monitor the possible escape of phosphor powder during the crushing and grinding operation. The said disposing machine where all the components and, parts are housed is equipped with a door cover and supported by a plurality of roller coaster for easy mobilization.
The disposing machine is designed and developed as an alternative way for safe disposal of hazardous waste like busted fluorescent tubes, lamps and bulbs as well as in reducing the size of storages space by the process of crushing and grinding, rather than packaging or cartooning those waste tubes, lamps and bulbs that are permanently stored in larger rooms. This traditional way are found auk ward, time consuming, and dangerous to the worker and its environment when they accidentally dropped and breaks the tubes, lamps and bulbs. When broken, the spell mercury vapor, phosphor powder, and glass particles can produce harmful effect to human health when direct inhalations occur. While glass particles can create cut wounds, this is considered a serious matter. =<

DETAILED DESCRIPTION
Figure 1 illustrates the whole assembly of the Inert Gas Lamp Disposing Machine. The Inert
Gas Lamp Disposing Machine is composed of a rectangular compartment (1), a top surface = (2) to form a cover, the fluorescent tube (3) is feed into in-feed chute (4) that received the o a fluorescent, while the CFL lamp is feed through the canister opening (5) and the incandescent od lamps into the canister opening (6) then passes into the canister (7) fix and attached on the upper portion of the disposing machine compartment. The canister prevents the glass, phosphor, and mercury vapor from escaping during the crushing operation. After crushing the glass it goes down the grinder housing that receives the crushed glass and feeds into the grinder intermeshing plates that further reduces the size of the crushed glass and separates the aluminum Caps from the glass. Then the common waste produced during the crushing processes is then stored in the waste bin (10) via duct system (12). Within the waste bin the aluminum caps and crushed glass are separated by a sizing screen. The said disposing machine compartment wherein all the components are housed comprises a door cover (21), to protect the components inside the compartment from exposing, the machine is supported by a plurality of rollers (24a, 24b, 24¢ and 24d not shown) attached to the base for easy mobility during the crushing operation.
Figure 2 illustrates the crusher and grinder assembly consisted of the crusher housing (13), - crushing hammer (37), connected to the steel shafting (9), by welded means, the said shafting . is held by a flange bearing set(8), and (8a)respectively. The grinder housing (13a) is where - the steel auger (36) and shafting (9a) are housed including the rotating grinding plate (35), and the stationary plate (34, 34a). po

In operation, the fluorescent tube is feed through in feed chute opening (4) and passes through the tube chute (4a), while the CFL and incandescent lamps are feed through canister = (7), top opening (5), and (6), then the tubes and lamps confined into the crusher housing are then struck by a crusher hammer elements and the broken glass moved downward into the co grinder housing by the force of gravity, then it passes into the grinder intermeshing plates that further reduce the glass size uniformly. The crushed glass and separated aluminum caps that are fed by a steel auger is then deposited into the dust tight waste bin container (10), the dust tight plastic container is provided with a sizing screen that allows the glass to exit downwardly and the phosphor powder that are removed during the crushing and grinding processes will drop at the bottom of the waste bin wherein the phosphor powder can be settled, while the crushed glass is screened by a fine wire mesh. The waste bin plastic container content can be detected by a proximity sensor (26), thus preventing the waste bin from overflowing. To
Figure 3 illustrates the set up of vacuum pumps and filter module arrangements and processes of the disposing machine.
During the crushing operation the lamps are fed in the in-feed chute (4), and canister (7), that is broken by a crushing hammer (37), or flails, as the lamps breaks the mercury vapor content of a lamps is released inside the crusher housing (13) is suctioned by an air pump booster (38), through the compressed air outlet then feed it into the ceramic filter via a air pump exhaust hose and filter input hose, the ceramic filter serves as a pre filter that holds © ¢ the glass fragments that goes with air borne particles thereby passing contaminated air into . the filter module (50). The filter module holds and trap the toxic vaporized air through its - filter stages consisting of mineral sand that traps mercury , silicon sand, zeolite and bio balls, - cleans air and finally the fresh air is released by the last filter stages which is the activated » carbon in granulated form that releases fresh air in the atmosphere. While the remaining = mercury that goes with the crushed glass and phosphor powder into the waste bin (10) is . suctioned by a second vacuum pump (51) at the top surface of a waste bin via exhaust hose = poi then feed it in the second filter modules (52), by means of connecting hose and then the oe process is repeated as what has been done in the first filter (50).
