Abstract

La presente divulgacion se dirige a un proceso de lixiviacion con tiosulfato de un material que contiene metales preciosos y la recuperacion de un metal precioso de una solucion de lixiviacion enriquecida utilizando una resina como agente de extraccion. El metal precioso se eluye de la resina cargada utilizando opcionalmente un eluyente que comprende tritionato. Varias mejoras del proceso incluyen mantener la solucion de lixiviacion que contiene tiosulfato sustancialmente libre de tioles y aminas, mantener una concentracion de un sulfuro en la solucion de lixiviacion de tiosulfato de no mas de aproximadamente 100 ppm, reciclar la resina esteril libre de contacto con sulfuro, bisulfuro, y polisulfuro, y/o mantener una concentracion de tetrationatos, tritionatos, aniones azufreoxigeno, y/o combinaciones de los mismos dentro de aproximadamente el 50% de un nivel de concentracion de uno o mas de tetrationatos, tritionatos, aniones de azufre-oxigeno, y las combinaciones de estos en la solucion que contiene metales preciosos antes del contacto con la resina esteril reciclada.
