Abstract
La invencion se refiere a un proceso para la produccion de etileno mediante deshidrogenacion oxidativa de etano, que comprende: a) someter una corriente que comprende etano a condiciones de deshidrogenacion oxidativa, dando como resultado una corriente que comprende etileno, etano no convertido y componentes ligeros; b) someter etileno, etano no convertido y componentes ligeros de la corriente resultante de la etapa a) a destilacion, dando como resultado una corriente que comprende etileno y componentes ligeros y una corriente que comprende etano no convertido; c) opcionalmente reciclar etano no convertido de la corriente que comprende etano no convertido resultante de la etapa b) a la etapa a); y d) someter etileno y componentes ligeros de la corriente que comprende etileno y componentes ligeros resultantes de la etapa b) a destilacion a una presion de la columna superior que es mas alta que la presion de la columna superior en la etapa b), dando como resultado una corriente que comprende componentes ligeros y una corriente que comprende etileno.
