EL METODO COMPRENDE: a) LIXIVIAR EL ORO DESDE EL PRODUCTO INTERMEDIO O RESIDUO EN UNA SOLUCION ACUOSA DE CLORURO DE COBRE (II)-CLORURO DE SODIO EN CONDICIONES ATMOSFERICAS CON CLORO Y EL COBRE DIVALENTE CONTENIDO EN LA SOLUCION, SIENDO EL POTENCIAL DE OXIDACION-REDUCCION DE LA SUSPENSION QUE SE FORMA MANTENIDO DENTRO DEL LIMITE DE 650 Y 750 mV; Y, b) NEUTRALIZAR EL ACIDO GENERADO DURANTE LA DISOLUCION DEL AZUFRE, CON ALCALI MANTENIENDO EL pH ENTRE 1 Y 1,6 DE MODO QUE EL HIERRO PERMANECE PRINCIPALMENTE SIN DISOLVER. LA CANTIDAD DE COBRE DIVALENTE EN LA SOLUCION ES DE 20 A 80 g/L, Y LA DE CLORURO DE SODIO ES DE 200 A 330 g/L. LA TEMPERATURA ES MANTENIDA DENTRO DEL LIMITE DE 80°C Y EL PUNTO DE EBULLICION DE LA SUSPENSION. EL ALCALI EN (b) ES CLORURO DE COBRE (II) BASICO, NaOH, KOH, CaO, CaCO3 o MgO. EL ORO DISUELTO ES RECUPERADO USANDO CARBON ACTIVADO, MEDIANTE ELECTROLISIS O PRECIPITACION QUIMICAFROM AN INTERMEDIATE PRODUCT OR RESIDUE OF LEACHING, CONTAINING SULFUR AND IRON GENERATED IN THE ATMOSPHERIC LEACHING IN CHLORIDE OF A SULFUROUS RAW MATERIAL. THE METHOD INCLUDES: a) LEACHING THE GOLD FROM THE INTERMEDIATE OR RESIDUAL PRODUCT IN AN AQUEOUS SOLUTION OF COPPER (II) CHLORIDE -SODIUM CHLORIDE UNDER ATMOSPHERIC CONDITIONS WITH CHLORINE AND THE DIVALENT COPPER CONTAINED IN THE SOLUTION, BEING- REDUCTION OF THE SUSPENSION THAT IS FORMED, KEPT WITHIN THE LIMIT OF 650 AND 750 mV; AND, b) NEUTRALIZE THE ACID GENERATED DURING THE DISSOLUTION OF THE SULFUR, WITH ALCALI KEEPING THE pH BETWEEN 1 AND 1.6 SO THAT THE IRON MAINLY REMAINS UNSOLVED. THE QUANTITY OF DIVALENT COPPER IN THE SOLUTION IS FROM 20 TO 80 g / L, AND THAT OF SODIUM CHLORIDE IS FROM 200 TO 330 g / L. THE TEMPERATURE IS MAINTAINED WITHIN THE 80 ° C LIMIT AND THE BOILING POINT OF THE SUSPENSION. THE ALKALI IN (b) IS BASIC COPPER (II) CHLORIDE, NaOH, KOH, CaO, CaCO3 or MgO. DISSOLVED GOLD IS RECOVERED USING ACTIVATED CARBON, THROUGH ELECTROLYSIS OR CHEMICAL PRECIPITATION
