Abstract
DONDE SE RECUPERA ORO A PARTIR DE UN PRODUCTO INTERMEDIO O RESIDUO DE LIXIVIACION, CONTENIENDO HIERRO Y AZUFRE GENERADOS EN LA LIXIVIACION ATMOSFERICA EN CLORURO DE UNA MATERIA PRIMA DE COBRE SULFUROSO CON AYUDA DE UNA SOLUCION ACUOSA DE CLORURO DE COBRE (II), CLORURO DE SODIO Y UN GAS CONTENIENDO OXIGENO. EL METODO COMPRENDE: a) LIXIVIAR EL ORO DESDE EL PRODUCTO INTERMEDIO O RESIDUO EN UNA SOLUCION ACUOSA DE CLORURO DE COBRE (II)-CLORURO DE SODIO EN CONDICIONES ATMOSFERICAS CON CLORO Y EL COBRE DIVALENTE CONTENIDO EN LA SOLUCION, SIENDO EL POTENCIAL DE OXIDACION-REDUCCION DE LA SUSPENSION QUE SE FORMA MANTENIDO DENTRO DEL LIMITE DE 650 Y 750 mV; Y, b) NEUTRALIZAR EL ACIDO GENERADO DURANTE LA DISOLUCION DEL AZUFRE, CON POR LO MENOS OXICLORURO DE COBRE (II) MANTENIENDO EL pH ENTRE 1 Y 1,6 DE MODO QUE EL HIERRO PERMANECE MAYORMENTE SIN DISOLVER. LA CANTIDAD DE COBRE DIVALENTE EN LA SOLUCION ES DE 20 A 80 g/L, Y LA DE CLORURO DE SODIO ES DE 200 A 330 g/L. LA TEMPERATURA ES MANTENIDA DENTRO DEL LIMITE DE 80°C Y EL PUNTO DE EBULLICION DE LA SUSPENSION. EL COBRE DE LA MATERIA PRIMA SE DISUELVE EN FORMA DE COBRE MONOVALENTE Y EL COBRE DIVALENTE GENERADO ES PRECIPITADO DESDE LA SOLUCION POR MEDIO DE UN ALCALI O TIERRA ALCALINA EN FORMA DEL OXICLORURO DE COBRE (II) GUIADO A (b). EL CLORO ES OBTENIDO DE UNA ELECTROLISIS DE ALCALI-CLORO. EL ORO DISUELTO ES RECUPERADO USANDO CARBON ACTIVADO, MEDIANTE ELECTROLISIS O PRECIPITACION QUIMICA
