A HIGH CONCENTRATION OF SUSPENDED SOLID PARTICULATE MATERIAL AND A LIMITED SEDIMENTATION ZONE BETWEEN THE COMPACTION ZONE AND THE SEDIMENTATION ZONE, WHICH MAKES UP THE LOWER SEDIMENTATION ZONES; 2) AN OVERFLOW CHANNEL ADJACENT TO THE UPPER END OF (1) WHICH DISCHARGES THE OVERFLOW PHASE OF THE SUSPENSION WHICH HAS BEEN SEPARATED IN (1); 3) A DISCHARGE ORIFICE FOR THE CURRENT DERIVED AT THE BOTTOM OF (1) TO SEPARATE A THICKENED PHASE OF SAID CURRENT SEPARATED FROM (1); 4) AN ELEMENT OF DELICUEFACTION FOR THE FLOW OF LIQUID THAT EXTENDS FROM THE LOWER PORTION OF (1) TOWARDS ITS UPPER PORTION; AND 5) A ROTATING RAKE ASSEMBLY IN THE LOWER PORTION OF (1), WHICH HAS A VERTICAL ELONGATED STAKE THAT FORMS CHANNELS IN THE SUSPENSION TO RELEASE THE LIQUID IN ONE OF THE LOWER SEDIMENTATION ZONES GOING TOWARDS (4). A METHOD OF OPERATION THAT INCLUDES FEEDING A SUSPENSION IN A LIQUID IN (1); SEPARATE THE SUSPENSION BY GRAVITY; UNLOADING AN OVERFLOW PHASE AND A THICKENED PHASE
