EL CUAL COMPRENDE : a) SOMETER UN CONCENTRADO DE COBRE, QUE CONTIENE MAS DE 5% EN PESO DE ZINC, A UN PASO DE BIOLIXIVIACION QUE COMPRENDE MICROORGANISMOS QUE OXIDAN HIERRO/AZUFRE PARA FORMAR UN BIOLIXIVIADO QUE CONTIENE COBRE; b) EXTRAER POR LO MENOS EN PARTE EL COBRE SEPARADO DEL BIOLIXIVIADO, PONIENDO EN CONTACTO DICHO BIOLIXIVIADO CON UN SOLVENTE ORGANICO PARA EXTRAER COBRE; Y c) RECICLAR POR LO MENOS PARTE DE LA SOLUCION AGOTADA, RESPECTO AL COBRE, AL PASO DE BIOLIXIVIACION. DICHO CONCENTRADO DE COBRE ES DE PREFERENCIA CALCOPIRITA, Y CONTIENE METALES PRECIOSOS Y METALES COMUNES TALES COMO NIQUEL, ZINC Y COBALTO. LOS MICROORGANISMOS SON SELECCIONADOS ENTRE TERMOFILOS MODERADOS Y TERMOFILOS EXTREMOS, Y EN GENERAL MICROORGANISMOS AEROBICOS.
