EL CUAL COMPRENDE : a) SOMETER UN CONCENTRADO DE COBRE, QUE CONTIENE MAS DE 5% EN PESO DE ZINC, A UN PASO DE BIOLIXIVIACION QUE COMPRENDE MICROORGANISMOS QUE OXIDAN HIERRO/AZUFRE PARA FORMAR UN BIOLIXIVIADO QUE CONTIENE COBRE; b) EXTRAER POR LO MENOS EN PARTE EL COBRE SEPARADO DEL BIOLIXIVIADO, PONIENDO EN CONTACTO DICHO BIOLIXIVIADO CON UN SOLVENTE ORGANICO PARA EXTRAER COBRE; Y c) RECICLAR POR LO MENOS PARTE DE LA SOLUCION AGOTADA, RESPECTO AL COBRE, AL PASO DE BIOLIXIVIACION. DICHO CONCENTRADO DE COBRE ES DE PREFERENCIA CALCOPIRITA, Y CONTIENE METALES PRECIOSOS Y METALES COMUNES TALES COMO NIQUEL, ZINC Y COBALTO. LOS MICROORGANISMOS SON SELECCIONADOS ENTRE TERMOFILOS MODERADOS Y TERMOFILOS EXTREMOS, Y EN GENERAL MICROORGANISMOS AEROBICOS. ADEMAS AL PROCESO SE AGREGA ION FERROSO PARA PRECIPITAR HIERRO FERRICOWHICH INCLUDES: a) SUBMITTING A COPPER CONCENTRATE, CONTAINING MORE THAN 5% BY WEIGHT OF ZINC, TO ONE STEP OF BIOLIXIVIATION THAT INCLUDES MICROORGANISMS THAT OXIDATE IRON / SULFUR TO FORM A BIOLIXIVIATE CONTAINING COPPER; b) EXTRACTING AT LEAST IN PART THE COPPER SEPARATED FROM THE BIOLIXIVIATE, PLACING SAID BIOLIXIVIATE IN CONTACT WITH AN ORGANIC SOLVENT TO EXTRACT COPPER; AND c) RECYCLE AT LEAST PART OF THE SOLUTION SOLUTION, REGARDING COPPER, TO THE STEP OF BIOLIXIVIATION. SUCH COPPER CONCENTRATE IS PREFERRED CHALCOPYRITE, AND CONTAINS PRECIOUS METALS AND COMMON METALS SUCH AS NICKEL, ZINC AND COBALT. MICROORGANISMS ARE SELECTED AMONG MODERATE THERMOPHILES AND EXTREME THERMOFILES, AND IN GENERAL AEROBIC MICROORGANISMS. IN ADDITION TO THE PROCESS, FERROUS ION IS ADDED TO PRECIPITATE FERRIC IRON
