SE REFIERE A UNA COMPOSICION PARENTERAL QUE SE CARACTERIZA POR SER UNA EMULSION ESTERIL DE ACEITE EN AGUA QUE COMPRENDE a)DE 1% A 2% DE 2,6-DIISOPROPILFENOL (PROPOFOL) DISUELTO EN UN SOLVENTE INMISIBLE EN AGUA; b)DE 10% A 30% DE UN SOLVENTE INMISCIBLE EN AGUA TAL COMO UN ACEITE VEGETAL (ACEITE DE SOYA) O ESTER DE ACIDO GRASO; c)SURFACTANTE TAL COMO FOSFATIDE DE HUEVO O DE SOYA, d)DE 0,0075% A 0,66% DE SULFITO POR PESO O EN CANTIDAD SUFICIENTE PARA EVITAR EL CRECIMIENTO DE STAPHYLOCOCCUS AUREUS, ESCHERICHIA COLI, PSEUDOMONA AERUGINOSA, CANDIDA ALBICANS; DE PREFERENCIA METABISULFITO DE SODIO O DE POTASIO, SULFITO DE SODIO O POTASIO, BISULFITO DE SODIO; e)HIDROXIDO DE SODIO; EL pH DE LA COMPOSICION ES DE 4,5 A 6,4; LA COMPOSICION ES ISOTONICA CON LA SANGRE O SE VUELVE ISOTONICA CON LA SANGRE INCORPORANDO GLICERINA.
