Description
Claims (19)
- 고온 가스상 연소 생성물의 가스류를, 적어도 부분적으로 N2로 전환시켜 NOx함량을 감소시키는 화학 반응을 일으키는 환원제로서 증기 형태 또는 증발 가능한 형태의 암모니아, 암모니아의 전구 물질 되는 이들의 혼합물과 접촉시켜 NOx함량을 감소시킴으로써 가스상 연소 생성물을 정화하는 방법에 있어서, 상기 가스류를 적어도 약 1400。F로 유지하면서 강한 와류가 형성되는 부분으로 통과시키고, 상기 부분에 도입한 직후 상기 환원제를 상기 가스류에 분사하는 것을 특징으로 하는 가스상 연소 생성물의 정화 방법.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 가스류내의 NOx함량이 200ppm 이하가 되도록 상기 환원제가 상기 가스류내에 도입되는 방법.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 환원제는 고온 싸이클론 분리 수단내의 반경 방향속도가 0인 대역으로 분무에 의하여 도입되고, 상기 반경 방향 속도가 0인 대역은 상기 싸이클론 분리 수단의 외측 경계부로부터 반경방향 안쪽에 위치하여 상기 환원제는 상기 가스류 전체에 걸쳐 급속히 분산되고, 그후 상기 싸이클론 분리수단내에서 나선상으로 이동하는 방법.
- 제 3 항에 있어서, 상기 가스류내로의 상기 분사는 출구 도관 또는 그 수직 투영부로부터 반경 방향 바깥 쪽에 위치한 원위의 여러 지점에서 동시에 이루어지고, 이 도관은 상기 싸이클론 분리 수단의 상부 환상부의 내측 정계를 이루며, 상기 원은 여기서부터 0.1L 내지 0.8L(여기서 L은 상기 환상부의 반경 방향폭임) 사이에 위치하는 방법.
- 제 4 항에 있어서, 상기 원이 약 0.5L에 위치하는 방법.
- 제 3 항에 있어서, 상기 환원제는 NOx1몰당 약 0.2 내지 약 10몰의 양으로 도입되는 방법.
- 제 2 항에 있어서, NO 환원제의 수용액이 증기 분무되는(steam atomized)방법.
- 제 2 항에 있어서, 상기 NOx환원제가 약 1400℉ 내지 약 1900℉의 상기 가스류내로 도입되는 방법.
- 제 8 항에 있어서, O2의 함량이 10부피% 이하인 상기 가스류내로 상기 환원제가 도입되는 방법.
- 제 9 항에 있어서, 요소(urea) 수용액이 도입되어 증기 분무되는 방법.
- 환원제와 접촉시켜 NOx함량을 감소시키는 가스상 연소 생성물 정화 장치에 있어서, 적어도 1400℉이상의 온도로 가스상 연소 생성물의 가스류를 운반하는 도관 수단, 상기 도관 수단의 출구와 연결되어 상기 가스류에 와류를 발생시키는 고온 싸이클론 분리 수단, 상기 가스류가 상기 와류 발생 싸이클론 분리 수단내로 도입된 직후, 환원제를 상기 가스류내로 도입시키는 분사 수단이 포함되는 정화 장치.
- 제 11 항에 있어서, 상기 와류 발생 수단이 싸이클론 분리기이고, 상기 분사기는 상기 환원제를 상기싸이클론 분리기의 외측 경계로부터 반경 방향 안쪽으로 간격을 둔 속도가 0인 대역내로 도입시켜 상기 환원제는 상기 가스류 전체에 걸쳐 급속히 분산된 후 나선상으로 하향 이동하게되는 장치.
- 제 11 항에 있어서, 상기 와류 발생 수단은 본체 실린더부와 대체로 원형 단면의 내측 출구 도관을 가진 싸이클론 분리 수단이고, 상기 환원제를 상기 출구 도관과 상기 본체 실린더부 사이의 환상부로 도입시키는 상기 분사 수단은 상기 본체 실린더부 표면의 반경 방향 내측에 위치하는 장치.
- 제 13 항에 있어서, 상기 싸이클론 분리 수단의 상부 경계면을 통하여 여러지점에서 상기 분무가 이루어지는 장치.
- 제 13 항에 있어서, 상기 분사 수단은 상기 싸이클론 분리 수단의 수직 원통측벽을 통하여 내측으로 돌출하여 상기 싸이클론의 수직 실린더부 내부 높이의 상부 10% 내지 상부 80%에 위치하는 장치.
- 제 11 항에 있어서, 상기 분사 수단은 약 500μm 이하 크기의 액적 형태로 액체를 분사시키도록 설계된 장치.
- 제 11 항에 있어서, 상기 분사 수단은 요소 수용액 형태의 상기 NOx환원제를 상기 싸이클론 분리 수단내로 분무하도록 설계된 장치.
- 제 11 항에 있어서, 상기 분사 수단은 상기 환원제를 약 0.1L 내지 약 0.8L(여기서 L은 상기 출구 도관과 상기 본체 원통벽 사이의 반경 방향 거리) 사이의 위치에서 상기 가스류 내로 분무시키도록 된 장치.
- 제 13 항에 있어서, 상기 분사 수단은 약 0.1h 내지 약 0.9h(여기서 h는 상기 본체 실린더부의 높이)의 위치에서 상기 NOx환원제를 상기 싸이클론 분리 수단내로 도입시키는 장치.
