도 1b는 본 발명에 따른 무선 전력 전송 시스템의 제2 실시예의 환경 사시도이다.

Claims (7)
- 무선 전력 송신기에 있어서,
제어기;
전력 송신 신호를 방출하기 위한 복수 개의 마이크로파 어레이 에미터들을 가진 페이즈드 어레이 안테나(phased array antenna)로서, 상기 에미터들은 하나의 위상(phase)에서 상기 전력 송신 신호를 방출하기 위해 상기 제어기에 의해 적응적으로 페이즈드(adaptively-phased)된 것인, 상기 페이즈드 어레이 안테나; 및
충전될 장치로부터 복수 개의 다중경로 전력 신호 세기 신호들을 수신하기 위해 사이드(side) 채널 주파수 상에서 동작 가능한 수신기
를 포함하고,
상기 제어기는 개별적인 마이크로파 어레이 에미터를 활성화시킨 전력 송신신호로부터의 제1 위상에서 전력 송신 신호를 송신하기 위해 각각의 개별적인 마이크로파 어레이 에미터를 선택적으로 활성화시키도록 더 구성되는 것이고, 상기 제어기는, 개별적인 마이크로파 어레이 에미터를 활성화시킨 전력 송신 신호로부터의 전력 송신 신호의 위상을 조정하기 위해, 상기 충전될 장치로부터 수신된 제1 전력 신호 세기 신호에 응답하여, 활성화된 개별적인 마이크로파 어레이 에미터의 증분(increment)만큼 상기 위상을 조정하도록 더 구성되는 것이며, 상기 제어기는, 상기 충전될 장치로부터 후속(subsequent) 다중경로 전력 신호 세기 보고를 수신하고, 상기 전력 송신 신호가 수신된 전력 레벨이 이전의 전력 송신 신호가 수신된 전력 레벨보다 낮다는 것을 상기 후속 다중경로 전력 신호 세기 보고가 나타내면, 개별적인 마이크로파 어레이 에미터를 활성화시킨 전력 송신 신호로부터의 후속 다중경로 전력 신호 세기 보고에 응답하여, 추가적인 증분만큼, 개별적인 마이크로파 어레이 에미터를 활성화시킨 전력 송신 신호의 위상을 조정하도록 구성되는 것이고;
상기 마이크로파 송신기는 상기 충전될 장치의 위치를 나타내는 상기 충전될 장치로부터의 위치 신호를 이용하지 않고 상기 충전될 장치에 상기 전력 송신 신호를 방출하는 것이며;
상기 마이크로파 송신기 및 상기 충전될 장치는 서로의 가시선(line of sight)에 있을 것이 요구되지 않는 것인 무선 전력 송신기. - 제1항에 있어서, 상기 에미터는 비 균일(non-uniform), 비 동일 평면(non-coplanner) 방식으로 물리적으로 배열되는 것인 무선 전력 송신기.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 제어기는 π/2, π/4, π/8, 또는 π/16 중 적어도 하나의 미리 결정된 위상 각 증분으로 상기 적응적으로 페이즈드된(adaptively-phased) 에미터들 각각의 위상을 조정하기 위한 회로를 포함하는 것인 무선 전력 송신기.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 페이즈드 어레이 안테나는 서로 직교하도록 배치된 케이블들의 그리드를 포함하고, 상기 케이블들은 교차하여 에미터 노드들을 정의하며, 상기 케이블들 각각은, 복수 개의 전력 송신 라인들 중 선택된 하나의 전력 송신 라인을 활성화하기 위해 적어도 하나의 위상 제어 라인과, 상이한 위상 각들에서 전력 송신 신호들의 송신에 전용되는 상기 복수 개의 전력 송신 라인들을 갖는 것인 무선 전력 송신기.
- 제4항에 있어서, 상기 그리드는 케이블 그리드가 여러 가지 형태의 단단한(solid) 물체 위에 씌워질 수 있도록 가요성(flexible) 재료로 제조되는 것인 무선 전력 송신기.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 충전될 장치와 먼저 통신할 필요 없이 상기 페이즈드 어레이 안테나로 하여금 특정 위치에 전력을 송신하는 것을 가능하게 하기 위해, 상기 제어기와 동작 가능하게 통신하는 구성(configuration) 메모리 장치를 더 포함하는 것인 무선 전력 송신기.
- 무선 전력 송신 시스템에 있어서,
전력 송신기; 및
충전 수신기를 포함하고,
상기 전력 송신기는,
제어기;
전력 송신 신호를 방출하기 위한 복수 개의 마이크로파 어레이 에미터들을 가진 페이즈드 어레이 안테나(phased array antenna)로서, 상기 에미터들은 하나의 위상(phase)에서 상기 전력 송신 신호를 방출하기 위해 상기 제어기에 의해 적응적으로 페이즈드(adaptively-phased)된 것인, 상기 페이즈드 어레이 안테나; 및
충전될 장치로부터 복수 개의 다중경로 전력 신호 세기 신호들을 수신하기 위해 사이드(side) 채널 주파수 상에서 동작 가능한 수신기
를 포함하고,
상기 제어기는 개별적인 마이크로파 어레이 에미터를 활성화시킨 전력 송신신호로부터의 제1 위상에서 전력 송신 신호를 송신하기 위해 각각의 개별적인 마이크로파 어레이 에미터를 선택적으로 활성화시키도록 더 구성되는 것이고, 상기 제어기는, 개별적인 마이크로파 어레이 에미터를 활성화시킨 전력 송신 신호로부터의 전력 송신 신호의 위상을 조정하기 위해, 상기 충전될 장치로부터 수신된 제1 전력 신호 세기 신호에 응답하여, 활성화된 개별적인 마이크로파 어레이 에미터의 증분(increment)만큼 상기 위상을 조정하도록 더 구성되는 것이며, 상기 제어기는, 상기 충전될 장치로부터 후속(subsequent) 다중경로 전력 신호 세기 보고를 수신하고, 상기 전력 송신 신호가 수신된 전력 레벨이 이전의 전력 송신 신호가 수신된 전력 레벨보다 낮다는 것을 상기 후속 다중경로 전력 신호 세기 보고가 나타내면, 개별적인 마이크로파 어레이 에미터를 활성화시킨 전력 송신 신호로부터의 후속 다중경로 전력 신호 세기 보고에 응답하여, 추가적인 증분만큼, 개별적인 마이크로파 어레이 에미터를 활성화시킨 전력 송신 신호의 위상을 조정하도록 구성되는 것이고;
상기 마이크로파 송신기는 상기 충전 수신기의 위치를 나타내는 상기 충전 수신기로부터의 위치 신호를 이용하지 않고 상기 충전될 장치에 상기 전력 송신 신호를 방출하는 것이며;
상기 전력 송신기 및 충전 수신기는 서로의 가시선(line of sight)에 있을 것이 요구되지 않는 것이고,
상기 충전 수신기는,
상기 충전 수신기를 충전하도록 미리 결정된 위상을 가진 전력 송신 신호를 수신하도록 구성되는 렉테나(rectenna);
사이드 채널 주파수 상에서 동작 가능한 송신기; 및
무선 전력 충전 수신기의 위치를 나타내는 위치 신호를 상기 전력 송신기에 송신하지 않고 상기 사이드 채널 상의 상기 전력 송신기에 수신된 상기 전력 송신 신호의 제1 전력 신호 세기 신호를 전달하고, 후속하여 수신되는 전력 송신 신호들과 연관된 후속 전력 신호 세기 신호들을 송신하기 위해, 상기 송신기를 제어하도록 구성되는 전력 신호 세기 신호 보고 회로
를 포함하는 것이고,
후속하여 수신되는 전력 신호 세기 신호 각각은, 상기 전력 신호 세기 신호와 연관된 수신된 전력 송신 신호가 이전에 수신된 전력 송신 신호보다 더 높거나, 더 낮거나 또는 그와 동일한 전력 레벨에 있는지 여부를 나타내는 것이고,
상기 충전 수신기는 상기 송신기와 가시선(line of sight)에 있을 것이 요구되지 않는 것인 무선 전력 송신 시스템.
