Description
Claims (13)
- 자가팽창하는 보형물을 환자의 혈관계내의 목표 지점에 경피 전달하기 위한 전달 장치로서, 상기 보형물은 개방 근위 단부와 원위 단부를 갖는 관형의 금속 직물을 형성하도록 편조된 다수의 금속 와이어 스트랜드를 포함하며, 상기 전달 장치는,(a) 근위 단부, 원위 단부 및 이들 사이에서 연장하는 루멘을 구비한 외부 관형 안내 카테터,(b) 근위 단부, 원위 단부 및 이들 사이에서 연장하는 루멘을 구비하고, 또한 상기 외부 관형 안내 카테터의 루멘내에 미끄러지도록 끼워맞춰지는 크기로 된 외경을 가진 내부 관형 푸셔 카테터,(c) 근위 단부와 원위 단부를 구비하고 상기 내부 푸셔 카테터의 루멘을 통하여 동축으로 삽입가능한 기다란 가요성 부재로서, 상기 원위 단부는, 내부 푸셔 카테터의 원위 단부에서 이 내부 푸셔 카테터의 루먼내에 적어도 부분적으로 끼워맞춰지는 크기로 되어 있는 제 1 비드 부재를 구비하고, 내부 푸셔 카테터에 대하여 기다란 가요성 부재에 근위 방향의 인장력이 가해질 때, 상기 원위 단부는 내부 관형 푸셔 카테터의 원위 단부에 있는 루멘의 벽과 제 1 비드 부재 사이에서 관형의 금속 직물의 근위 단부에 있는 금속 와이어 스트랜드를 끼우도록 되어 있는 기다란 가요성 부재, 및(d) 내부 푸셔 카테터의 근위 단부와 기다란 부재에 분리가능하게 고정되는 클램프 부재 사이에서 작동가능하게 연결된 압축 스프링을 포함하는 전달 장치.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 기다란 가요성 부재는 제 1 비드 부재로부터 근위 방향으로 소정의 거리에 있는 위치에서 고정된 제 2 비드 부재를 포함하고, 상기 제 2 비드 부재는 내부 관형 푸셔 카테터의 루멘내에 미끄러지도록 끼워맞춰지는 크기로 되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 전달 장치.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 제 1 비드 부재는 절두 원뿔형인 것을 특징으로 하는 전달 장치.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 제 1 비드 부재는 구형인 것을 특징으로 하는 전달 장치.
- 제 2 항에 있어서, 상기 제 2 비드 부재는 환형을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 전달 장치.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 기다란 가요성 부재는 와이어를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 전달 장치.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 기다란 가요성 부재는 케이블을 포함하는 것을 특징 으로 하는 전달 장치.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 외부 관형 안내 카테터는 근위 단부의 제 1 루어 피팅을 포함하고, 상기 내부 푸셔 카테터는 제 1 루어 피팅과 일치하는 근위 단부의 제 2 루어 피팅을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 전달 장치.
- 제 6 항에 있어서, 상기 압축 스프링은 제 2 루어 피팅과 클램프 부재 사이에서 기다란 가요성 부재를 둘러싸면서 배치되는 것을 특징으로 하는 전달 장치.
- 제 3 항에 있어서, 압축 스프링이 더이상 압축되지 않을 때, 내부 푸셔 카테터의 원위 단부로부터 상기 자가팽창하는 보형물이 분리되는 것을 특징으로 하는 전달 장치.
- 제 10 항에 있어서, 상기 금속 와이어 스트랜드는 형상기억합금 와이어를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 전달 장치.
- 제 11 항에 있어서, 상기 형상기억합금은 니티놀 (Nitinol) 인 것을 특징으로 하는 전달 장치.
- 편조된 자가팽창하는 관형의 보형물을 혈관계내의 선택 지점에 제어가능하게 전달하기 위한 전달 방법으로서,(a) 하기를 조합하여 제공하는 단계,(ⅰ) 근위 단부, 원위 단부 및 이들 사이에서 연장하는 루멘을 구비하고, 또한 안내 카테터의 루멘내에 미끄러지도록 끼워맞춰지는 외경을 가진 가요성 내부 관형 카테터,(ⅱ) 근위 단부와 원위 단부를 구비하고 상기 내부 관형 카테터의 루멘을 통하여 동축으로 삽입가능한 기다란 가요성 부재로서, 내부 관형 카테터에 대하여 기다란 가요성 부재에 근위 방향의 인장력이 가해질 때, 상기 원위 단부는 내부 관형 카테터의 원위 단부에서 이 내부 관형 카테터의 루멘내에 적어도 부분적으로 끼워맞춰지는 크기로 되어 부착되는 제 1 비드 부재를 구비하는 기다란 가요성 부재,(ⅲ) 내부 관형 카테터의 근위 단부와 상기 기다란 부재에 분리가능하게 고정된 클램프 부재 사이에서 작동가능하게 연결된 압축 스프링, 및(ⅳ) 개별 스트랜드의 근위 단부가 내부 관형 카테터의 원위 단부에 있는 루멘의 벽과 제 1 비드 부재 사이에서 포획되는 보형물을 포함하는 편조된 금속 스트랜드로 된 자가팽창하는 관형의 보형물,(b) 부착된 상기 관형 보형물과 함께 내부 관형 카테터를 안내 카테터의 루멘을 통하여 이송시켜서 이 안내 카테터의 원위 단부에서 나오게 하는 단계,(d) 클램프 부재를 해제하는 단계, 및(e) 기다란 가요성 부재를 원위 방향으로 전진시켜 내부 관형 카테터의 원위 단부로부터 관형의 보형물을 분리시키는 단계를 포함하는 전달 방법.
