Description
Claims (16)
- 움직임 추적 애니메이션(motion tracking animation) 시스템으로서,행위자의 피부면의 각 근육들에 대응하는 복수의 위치에 부착된 복수의 근전도(electromyography: EMG) 전극 쌍; 및상기 복수의 EMG 전극 쌍에 연동(operatively) 결합된 프로세서를 포함하며,상기 프로세서는상기 복수의 EMG 전극 쌍으로부터 EMG 데이터를 획득하는 단계 - 상기 EMG 데이터는 상기 행위자가 행동하는 동안의 근육 움직임에 대응하는 전기적 신호를 포함함 -;상기 근육 움직임의 디지털 모델을 제공하기 위해 상기 EMG 데이터를 처리하는 단계; 및상기 디지털 모델을 애니메이트된 캐릭터(animated character)로 매핑하는 단계 - 상기 애니메이트된 캐릭터는 행위자와 동일한 근육 움직임을 보이게 됨 -를 수행하기 위한 프로그래밍 명령어들을 포함하는, 움직임 추적 애니메이션 시스템.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 처리하는 단계는 상기 처리된 EMG 데이터에 부분적으로 기초하여 캘리브레이션 포즈 집합(set of calibration poses)을 생성하는 단계를 더 포함하는, 시스템.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 획득하는 단계는 상기 전기적 신호를 정류하거나 필터링하거나 또는 정류 및 필터링 모두를 수행하는 단계를 더 포함하는, 시스템.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 프로세서는 컴퓨터 그래픽 애니메이션 프로세서를 더 포함하는, 시스템.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 복수의 EMG 전극들에 결합된 전극 인터페이스를 더 포함하고, 상기 전극 인터페이스는 상기 프로세서에 합성(composite) 신호를 제공하는, 시스템.
- 제5항에 있어서,상기 전극 인터페이스는 상기 행위자의 신체에 지니도록 되어있는, 시스템.
- 제5항에 있어서,상기 전극 인터페이스는 상기 행위자의 신체에 지니도록 되어있는, 시스템.
- 제5항에 있어서,상기 전극 인터페이스는 상기 프로세서로의 무선 접속부를 갖는, 시스템.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 행위자의 눈에 인접한 위치에서 상기 행위자의 피부면에 부착되도록 된 복수의 전기안구도(electrooculogram; EOG) 전극 쌍을 더 포함하고, 상기 프로세서는 상기 복수의 EOG 전극 쌍에 연동 결합되며,상기 프로세서는상기 복수의 EOG 전극 쌍으로부터 EOG 데이터를 획득하는 단계 - 상기 EOG 데이터는 상기 행위자가 행동하는 동안의 눈 움직임에 대응하는 전기적 신호를 포함함 -;상기 EOG 데이터를 처리하는 단계; 및상기 처리된 EOG 데이터를 상기 애니메이트된 캐릭터로 매핑하는 단계 - 상기 애니메이트된 캐릭터는 상기 행위자와 동일한 눈 움직임을 보이게 됨 -를 수행하기 위한 프로그래밍 명령어들을 포함하는, 시스템.
- 제9항에 있어서,상기 EOG 전극들은 눈 움직임에 의해 만들어진 전기장 변화를 검출하는, 시 스템.
- 움직임 추적을 이용한 애니메이팅(animating) 방법으로서,행위자의 피부면의 각 근육에 대응하는 복수의 위치에 복수의 근전도(EMG) 전극 쌍을 부착시키는 단계;상기 복수의 EMG 전극 쌍으로부터 EMG 데이터를 획득하는 단계 - 상기 EMG 데이터는 상기 행위자가 행동하는 동안의 근육 움직임에 대응하는 전기적 신호를 포함함 -;상기 근육 움직임의 디지털 모델을 제공하기 위해 상기 EMG 데이터를 처리하는 단계; 및상기 디지털 모델을 애니메이트된 캐릭터로 매핑하는 단계 - 상기 애니메이트된 캐릭터는 상기 행위자와 동일한 근육 움직임을 보이게 됨 -를 포함하는, 움직임 추적을 이용한 애니메이팅 방법.
- 제11항에 있어서,상기 처리하는 단계는 상기 처리된 EMG 데이터에 부분적으로 기초하여 캘리브레이션 포즈 집합을 생성하는 단계를 더 포함하는, 방법.
- 제11항에 있어서,상기 획득하는 단계는 상기 전기적 신호를 정류하거나 필터링하거나 또는 정 류 및 필터링 모두를 수행하는 단계를 더 포함하는, 방법.
- 제11항에 있어서,상기 복수의 EMG 전극에 연동 결합된 전극 인터페이스를 상기 행위자의 신체에 지니게 하는 단계를 더 포함하는, 방법.
- 제11항에 있어서,상기 행위자의 피부면의 상기 행위자의 눈에 인접한 위치들에 복수의 전기안구도(EOG) 전극 쌍을 부착하는 단계를 더 포함하는, 방법.
- 제15항에 있어서,상기 복수의 EOG 전극 쌍으로부터 EOG 데이터를 획득하는 단계 - 상기 EOG 데이터는 상기 행위자가 행동하는 동안의 눈 움직임에 대응하는 전기적 신호를 포함함 -;상기 EOG 데이터를 처리하는 단계; 및상기 처리된 EOG 데이터를 상기 애니메이트된 캐릭터로 매핑하는 단계 - 상기 애니메이트된 캐릭터는 상기 행위자와 동일한 눈 움직임을 보이게 됨 -를 더 포함하는, 방법.
