Claims (10)
- 선박용 또는 정치식 디젤 엔진을 작동시키는 방법으로서,상기 엔진이 이 엔진에 실질적으로 일정한 공급율로 공급되는 단일의 실린더 윤활유로 윤활되고, 상기 엔진이 실린더 윤활유로부터 이용할 수 있는 것보다 더 많은 염기를 필요로 하는 황 수준을 갖는 연료로 작동될 때 150mgKOH/g 초과의 염기가를 갖는 하나 이상의 과염기성(overbased) 세정제가 연료에 첨가되는, 선박용 또는 정치식 디젤 엔진을 작동시키는 방법.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,연료가 1.5% 초과의 황 수준을 가질 때, 150mgKOH/g 초과의 염기가를 갖는 하나 이상의 과염기성 세정제를 상기 염기에 첨가하는 방법.
- 제 1 항 또는 제 2 항에 있어서,상기 실린더 윤활유가 70 미만의 총 염기가(TBN)를 갖는 방법.
- 제 1 항 내지 제 3 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,과염기성 금속 세정제가 과염기성 금속 페네이트, 과염기성 금속 설포네이트, 과염기성 금속 살리실레이트 및 과염기성 금속 하이브리드 세정제로부터 선택되며; 상기 과염기성 금속 하이브리드 세정제가 바람직하게는 과염기성 금속 페네이트-설포 네이트 세정제 및 과염기성 금속 페네이트-설포네이트-살리실레이트 세정제로부터 선택되는 방법.
- 제 1 항 내지 제 4 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,금속이 알칼리 토금속, 바람직하게는 칼슘인 방법.
- 제 1 항 내지 제 5 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,과염기성 금속 세정제가 175mgKOH/g 초과, 바람직하게는 200mgKOH/g 초과, 더욱 바람직하게는 245mgKOH/g 초과의 총 염기가를 갖는 방법.
- 제 1 항 내지 제 6 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,실린더 윤활유가 60mgKOH/g 미만, 바람직하게는 50mgKOH/g 미만의 총 염기가를 가지며, 가장 바람직하게는 35 내지 45mgKOH/g의 총 염기가를 갖는 방법.
- 제 1 항 내지 제 7 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,상기 과염기성 금속 세정제가 1 내지 10,000ppm, 바람직하게는 100 내지 1,000ppm, 더욱 바람직하게는 250 내지 500ppm의 처리율로 연료에 첨가되는 방법.
- 제 1 항 내지 제 8 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,연료가 2% 초과, 더욱 바람직하게는 2.5% 초과, 더욱 더 바람직하게는 3% 초과의 황 수준을 갖는 방법.
- 제 1 항 내지 제 9 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,선박용 또는 정치식 디젤 엔진에서의 피스톤 링 마모 또는 실린더 라이너 마모를 방지하기 위한 방법.
