- 비디오 게임과 함께 이용되는 컴퓨터 시스템의 디스플레이를 제어하기 위해서 이용자가 조작하는 제어 장치로서,상기 이용자에 의해 조작되도록 구성되어, 상기 제어 장치의 수직 경사 및 수평 경사와 관련된 입력 정보를 생성하는 좌표 제어 유닛과,상기 이용자에 의해 조작되도록 구성되어, 게임 플레이 입력 정보를 생성하는 게임 플레이 제어 유닛과,상기 좌표 제어 유닛으로부터의 입력 정보를 처리하여 상기 비디오 게임에서 상기 이용자의 시점 정보를 상기 컴퓨터 시스템에 제공하며, 상기 게임 플레이 제어 유닛으로부터의 상기 입력 정보를 처리하여 상기 비디오 게임에서 적어도 상기 이용자의 위치 이동을 표시하는 게임 정보를 상기 컴퓨터 시스템에 제공하도록 구성된 제어기를 포함하고, 상기 제어 장치는 화기(firearm)와 실질적으로 유사한 형상을 가지며, 그 형상은,중심 몸체와,상기 중심 몸체의 후방부로부터 하방으로 연장되는 손잡이와,상기 중심 몸체로부터 전방인 길이 방향으로 연장되는 총신을 포함하는 것인 이용자가 조작하는 제어 장치.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 좌표 제어 유닛은,수직 방향에 있어서 상기 제어 장치의 총신의 경사에 대한 정보를 입력하도록 구성된 y축 센서와,수평 방향에 있어서 상기 제어 장치의 총신의 경사에 대한 정보를 입력하도록 구성된 x축 센서를 더 포함하는 것인 이용자가 조작하는 제어 장치.

- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 제어 장치는, 상기 이용자에 의해 조작되도록 구성되어, 컴퓨터 마우스 버튼형 입력 정보를 생성하는 마우스 버튼형 제어 유닛을 더 포함하며, 상기 마우스 버튼형 제어 유닛은,상기 디스플레이 상에서의 상·하 스크롤에 대한 정보를 제공하도록 구성된 휠과,상기 이용자의 선택에 대한 정보를 제공하도록 구성된 좌측 버튼과,이용자의 다른 선택에 대한 정보를 제공하도록 구성된 우측 버튼을 포함하는 것인 이용자가 조작하는 제어 장치.
- 제7항에 있어서, 상기 제어 장치는 상기 손잡이의 적어도 일부의 앞에서, 상기 중심 몸체로부터 하방으로 연장되는 방아쇠를 더 포함하며,상기 휠과, 상기 좌측 버튼과, 상기 우측 버튼은, 상기 제어 장치의 중심 몸체의 측면에 장착되어 상기 방아쇠에 근접한 이용자의 손가락의 위치맞춤에 의해서 동작되는 것인 이용자가 조작하는 제어 장치.

- 제9항에 있어서, 상기 복수 개의 버튼은, 상기 제어 장치의 손잡이에 배치되어 그 손잡이를 잡고 있던 이용자의 손가락에 의해 동작될 수 있는 것인 이용자가 조작하는 제어 장치.
- 제10항에 있어서, 상기 제어 장치는, 상기 화기의 총신으로부터 하방으로 연장되는 앞 손잡이를 더 포함하며, 상기 방향 제어기는 상기 앞 손잡이 상에 위치되어, 상기 앞 손잡이를 잡은 상기 이용자의 다른 손의 엄지와 손가락들에 의해 동작가능한 것인 이용자가 조작하는 제어 장치.
