Abstract
본 발명은 전자일련번호(ESN)를 이용하여, 이동통신 단말기를 불법으로 복제하여 사용하는 것을 방지하는 기술에 관한 것이다. 이러한 본 발명은, 비휘발성 메모리 영역에 기록되는 단말기의 전자일련번호와 별도로 플래시 메모리의 한 영역에 동일한 전자일련번호를 기록하고 이를 영구적으로 록킹처리하여 출시하는 제1과정과; 상기 비휘발성 메모리 영역의 전자일련번호가 새로 기록될 때 그 전자일련번호를 상기 플래시 메모리의 전자일련번호와 비교하여 서로 같은지 확인하는 제2과정과; 상기 확인 결과 두 전자일련번호가 서로 동일하지 않으면, 그 두 전자일련번호를 망측으로 전송하여 필요한 조치를 취하게 하는 제3과정에 의해 달성된다.The present invention relates to a technique for preventing illegal copying and use of a mobile communication terminal by using an electronic serial number (ESN).
