Claims (26)
- 열가소성 폴리머 연속 필라멘트에 의해 형성된 제1의 부직포층 및, 상기 제1 부직포 층에 결합되어 일체화된 단일의 복합체 시트 재료를 형성하는, 하나 이상의 추가의 부직포층을 포함하고,상기 제1 부직포층은 인쇄 잉크를 수용하는 바깥쪽 면(outer surface)을 구비하고,상기 부직포 인쇄 매질은, ASTM D-737-80에 따라 측정하였을 때, 75 CFM 이하의 다공도(porosity)를 가지는 것을 특징으로 하는 부직포 인쇄 매질.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 인쇄 매질의 다공도는 ASTM D-737-80에 따라 측정하였을 때, 25 CFM 이하인 것을 특징으로 하는 부직포 인쇄 매질.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 제1 부직포층은, 상기 제1층의 열가소성 폴리머 연속 필라멘트와 함께 결합되는 열가소성 폴리머 바인더를 포함하고,동일한 열가소성 바인더가 상기 제1 부직포층을 상기 하나 이상의 추가의 부직포층에 접합시키는 것을 특징으로 하는 부직포 인쇄 매질.
- 제3항에 있어서,상기 열가소성 폴리머 바인더는, 처음부터 섬유 형태인 것을 특징으로 하는 부직포 인쇄 매질.
- 제3항에 있어서,상기 제1층의 연속 필라멘트는 3엽 단면을 가지는 것을 특징으로 하는 부직포 인쇄 매질.
- 제3항에 있어서,상기 열가소성 폴리머 연속 필라멘트는 폴리에스테르로부터 형성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 부직포 인쇄 매질.
- 제6항에 있어서,상기 열가소성 폴리머 바인더는 상기 연속 필라멘트의 폴리에스테르 폴리머 보다 더 낮은 융점을 가지는 폴리에스테르 공중합체를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 부직포 인쇄 매질.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 바깥쪽 면은, 표면 조도 Rz가 10㎛ 이하인 매끄러운 카렌더화된 표면인 것을 특징으로 하는 부직포 인쇄 매질.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 제1 부직포층은, 3엽 단면의 연속 폴리에스테르 단독 중합체 매트릭스 필라멘트, 및 상기 연속 매트릭스 필라멘트를 결합하는 보다 낮은 융점을 가진 폴리에스테르 공중합체의 섬유상 바인더로부터 형성된 스펀본드 부직포를 포함하는 특징으로 하는 부직포 인쇄 매질.
- 제9항에 있어서,상기 하나 이상의 추가의 부직포층은 상기 제1 부직포에 결합된 제2 스펀 본드 부직포를 포함하고, 상기 제2 스펀본드 부직포는, 3엽 단면을 가진, 연속의 폴리에스테르 단독 중합체 매트릭스 및, 상기 연속 매트릭스 필라멘트를 결합하는 저융점의 폴리에스테르 공중합체의 섬유상 바인더로부터 형성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 부직포 인쇄 매질.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 스펀본드 층의 필라멘트는 필라멘트 당 약 1 내지 10 데니어인 것을 특징으로 하는 부직포 인쇄 매질.
- 제1항에 있어서,전체 기초중량은 제곱 야드 당 3 온스 이상인 것을 특징으로 하는 부직포 인 쇄 매질.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 바깥쪽 표면에 잉크-수용성 조성물의 코팅을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 부직포 인쇄 매질.
- 제1항에 있어서,CD 및 XD 의 양쪽 방향으로 파지 인장 강도가 120 파운드 이상인 것을 특징으로 하는 부직포 인쇄 매질.
- 인쇄 잉크를 수용하는 카렌더화된 바깥쪽 표면을 구비하고, 3엽 단면의 폴리에스테르 단독중합체 매트릭스 연속 필라멘트 및 상기 연속 매트릭스 필라멘트를 결합하는 저융점의 폴리에스테르 공중합체의 섬유상 바인더로부터 형성된 스펀본드 부직포를 포함하는 제1 부직포층, 및상기 제1 부직포층에 결합되고, 3엽 단면의 연속 폴리에스테르 단독중합체 매트릭스 필라멘트와, 제2부직포층의 상기 연속 매트릭스 필라멘트를 결합하는 저융점의 폴리에스테르 공중합체 섬유상 바인더로부터 형성된 스펀본드 부직포를 포함하는 제2 부직포층을 포함하고,상기 제1 및 제2 층에 존재하는 공중합체 바인더는 제1 및 제2층을 함께 결합시키고,상기 인쇄 매질은 ASTM D-737-80에 따른 다공도가 25 CFM 이하인 것을 특징 으로 하는 인쇄 매질.
- 제15항에 있어서,상기 부직포층은 전부 폴리에스테르로 형성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 부직포 인쇄 매질.
- 제15항에 있어서,상기 카렌더화된 바깥쪽 표면 상에 잉크-수용성 조성물의 코팅을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 인쇄 매질.
- 제15항에 있어서,상기 제1 및 제2 부직포층은, 저융점 폴리에스테르 공중합체의 상기 바인더 필라멘트에 의해 서로 직접 결합되는 것을 특징으로 하는 부직포 인쇄 매질.
- 제15항에 있어서,상기 제1 및 제2 부직포층 들사이에 배치되고 이에 결합되는 하나 이상의 중간 부직포 층을 추가로 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 부직포 인쇄 매질.
- 표면조도 Rz가 10㎛ 이하인 바깥 표면을 가지고, 필라멘트 당 약 1 내지 10 데니어의 연속 폴리에틸렌 테레프탈레이트 단독중합체 매트릭스 필라멘트 및 상기 연속 매트릭스 필라멘트를 결합하는 저융점의 폴리에틸렌 이소프탈레이트 공중합체의 섬유상 바인더로부터 이루어진 제1 부직포층 및,상기 제1 부직포층에 결합되고, 연속의 폴리에틸렌 테레프탈레이트 단독 중합체 매트릭스 필라멘트와, 제2 부직포층의 상기 연속 매트릭스 필라멘트를 결합하는 저융점의 폴리에틸렌 이소프탈레이트 공중합체의 섬유상 바인더로부터 형성된 제2 부직포층을 포함하고,제1 및 제2 층 내에 존재하는 상기 폴리에틸렌 이소프탈레이트 공중합체 바인더는 또한 제1 및 제2층들을 서로 결합하고,상기 인쇄매질은 기초중량이 야드 제곱 당 3 내지 12 온스이며, ASTM D-737-80에 따른 다공도가 25CFM 이하인 것을 특징으로 하는 부직포 인쇄 매질.
- 인쇄 매질을 제조하는 방법으로서, 상기 방법은,연속의 열가소성 폴리머 필라멘트의 부직포 제1층을 형성하는 단계;부직포 제2층을 형성하는 단계;상기 제1 및 제2 부직포층을 서로 덮는 관계로 유도하는 단계;상기 제1 및 제2층을, 대향하는 면 대 면 관계로 결합하여 복합체 부직포를 형성하는 단계;상기 제1 부직포층의 노출된 바깥쪽 면을 카렌더 가공(calendering)하여 인쇄 잉크를 수용하도록 이루어진 카렌더화된 바깥쪽 표면을 형성하는 단계를 포함하고,상기 인쇄매질은 ASTM D-737-80에 따른 다공도가 75CFM 이하인 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제21항에 있어서,상기 결합 단계는 공조하는 한쌍의 카렌더 롤 사이의 닙을 통해 인쇄 매질을 이송하는 단계를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제22항에 있어서,상기 결합단계는, 추가로 제2의 한 쌍의 공조 카렌더 롤 사이의 제2 닙을 통해 상기 인쇄매질을 이송하는 단계를 포함하고, 상기 제2 닙은 상기 제1 닙 보다 높은 압력을 행사하는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제23항에 있어서,상기 제2 닙 내의 간격은 상기 제1 닙 내의 간격 보다 좁은 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제21항에 있어서,상기 제1 부직포층의 바깥쪽 표면에 잉크-수용성 코팅을 적용하는 단계를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제21항에 있어서,상기 제1 부직포층을 형성하는 단계 및 상기 제2 부직포층을 형성하는 단계는, 3엽 단면의 연속 폴리에스테르 호모 폴리머 매트릭스 필라멘트 및 상기 연속 매트릭스 필라멘트를 결합하는 저융점의 폴리에스테르 공중합체의 섬유상 바인더로부터 각각의 스펀본드 부직포층을 형성하는 단계를 포함하고,상기 제1 및 제2층을 대향하는 면 대 면 관계로 결합하는 단계는, 각각의 부직포층을 가열하여 상기 제1 및 제2층 내에 존재하는 공중합체 바인더를 연화시켜 상기 층들을 서로 융합 및 결합시키는 것을 포함하는 방법.
