Abstract

A safety hood capable of securing a field of vision is disclosed. According to one embodiment of the present invention, a safety hood capable of securing a field of vision is characterized by including: a main body part having an opening formed at least in the front and covering the head of a wearer; and at least one pair of fixing means respectively disposed on the main body part extending from the left and right sides of the opening.

The present invention relates to a safety hood capable of securing a field of vision. More specifically, the present invention relates to a safety hood capable of securing a field of vision by folding a portion of the hood corresponding to the wearer's eye height to expand the wearer's field of vision.

Recently, interest in health has increased, and the number of people participating in sports and leisure activities has increased significantly. Sports and leisure activities are often performed outdoors rather than indoors, so ways to maintain a comfortable physical condition in an outdoor environment are being sought.

Due to the destruction of the ozone layer, the amount of ultraviolet rays has increased significantly, and among the increased ultraviolet rays, UV-A accelerates skin aging and causes freckles and dark spots, UV-B causes the skin to turn red in the sun in the summer, and UV-C is known to mutate or destroy proteins and genes and lower immune function, which can cause bacterial infections and cancer.

It is reported that UV rays penetrate up to four times more through wet skin than through dry skin. Since the possibility of skin damage increases in wet skin conditions, such as when swimming or sweating from exercise, it is recommended to sufficiently block the sunlight shining on the face by using sunscreen that can block UV rays, or by wearing a hat or hood.

Meanwhile, due to the destruction of the ozone layer and global warming, in Korea, spring and fall are getting shorter and summer and winter are getting longer, and summer is getting hotter and winter is getting colder. Therefore, it is necessary to cover and protect the face and the upper part of the neck for UV protection and flame retardancy/cold protection when doing outdoor activities. However, in spring, summer, and fall, there is the problem of covering the face with a towel, scarf, etc. or wearing a hat while applying UV blocking agent, and it is also unsightly, so people are reluctant to wear it. Therefore, the reality is that hoods are only used for cold protection in winter or on slightly cold days. The industry has been making various face masks, but not many of them use hoods.

The present invention has been devised to solve various problems of the prior art as described above, and aims to provide a safety hood capable of securing a field of view that can increase usability by enabling a wide field of view, compared to hoods that have a narrow field of view and thus have low usability.

In addition, the present invention aims to provide a safety hood that can be used as a cover to prevent skin dryness and skin-related diseases caused by ultraviolet rays, and can secure a field of vision to increase the cold protection effect with simple operation when necessary for cold protection.

However, these tasks are exemplary and the scope of the present invention is not limited thereby.

The above object of the present invention is achieved by a safety hood capable of securing a field of vision, comprising: a main body part having an opening formed at least in the front and covering the head of a wearer; and at least one pair of fixing means respectively arranged on the main body part extending from the left and right sides of the opening.

Additionally, according to one embodiment of the present invention, the fixing means may include a first unit fixing portion and a second unit fixing portion that are interlocked and fastened with each other.

Additionally, according to one embodiment of the present invention, the fixing means may include a first unit fixing portion and a second unit fixing portion that are connected to each other with an adhesive force.

Additionally, according to one embodiment of the present invention, the fastening means may be at least one of a button, a snap button, a Velcro tape, and a magnet.

In addition, according to one embodiment of the present invention, the main body portion extending from the left and right sides of the opening can be folded inward and fixed in a folded state by a fixing means.

In addition, according to one embodiment of the present invention, when the uppermost part of the main body is 0 and the lowermost part is 100, the vertical arrangement position of the fixing means can be between 30 and 70.

According to the present invention configured as described above, there is an effect of increasing the usability by enabling a wide field of view for a hood that has a narrow field of view and thus has low usability.

In addition, according to the present invention, it is used as a shield to prevent skin dryness and skin-related diseases caused by ultraviolet rays, and has the effect of increasing the cold protection effect with simple operation when necessary for cold protection.

Of course, the scope of the present invention is not limited by these effects.

Hereinafter, a safety hood capable of securing a field of vision according to an embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to the attached drawings.

In this specification, only the safety hood (10) portion is illustrated and described, but it is obvious that the safety hood (10) may be configured to be detachable from a hoodie, neck warmer, etc., or may be configured to be integrated into a hoodie.

Referring to FIGS. 1 to 3, a safety hood (10) capable of securing a field of vision according to one embodiment of the present invention is characterized by including a main body (11) that covers the head of a wearer and has an opening (12) formed at least in the front, and at least one pair of fixing means (15: 15a, 15b) respectively arranged on the main body (11) extending from the left and right sides of the opening (12).

The main body (11) is a part that constitutes the body of the safety hood (10) and is a part that covers the wearer's head. In order for the wearer to be able to look at the front, the main body (11) may be opened in the form of an opening (12) without covering the front of the wearer. Here, the area of the opening (12) roughly corresponds to the wearer's face, and parts such as the neck and shoulders that are lower than the wearer's face may be excluded from the area of the opening (12). The area lower than the wearer's face may be covered by a cover part (13) that extends from the main body (11) and may be fixed or released by a cover part fixing means (16) formed on the cover part (13). The vertical width from the top to the bottom of the main body (11) is referred to as D1 (see FIG. 1), and the horizontal width from the front to the rear of the main body (11) is referred to as D2 (see FIG. 3).

The main body (11) can be composed of fabrics such as cotton, wool, silk, velvet, and fleece. In addition, there are no restrictions on the material as long as it is a fabric that can improve ultraviolet ray blocking and cold protection effects.

At least one pair of fixing means (15: 15a, 15b) can be arranged on the main body (11) extending from the left and right sides of the opening (12).

In one embodiment, the fixing means (15) may include a first unit fixing part (15a) and a second unit fixing part (15b) that are interlocked and fastened with each other. For example, a male and female snap button (15a, 15b) may be used as the fixing means (15). Also, for example, a button and a hook (15a, 15b) to which the button is hooked may be used as the fixing means (15). The first unit fixing part (15a) may be fixed by being fitted into the second unit fixing part (15b), or conversely, the second unit fixing part (15b) may be fixed by being fitted into the first unit fixing part (15a).

In another embodiment, the fixing means (15) may include a first unit fixing part (15a) and a second unit fixing part (15b) that are connected with mutual adhesive force. For example, a Velcro tape (15a, 15b) that is mutually attached may be used as the fixing means (15). Also, for example, a magnet (N pole, S pole) (15a, 15b) of opposite polarity that is mutually magnetically attached may be used as the fixing means (15). The first unit fixing part (15a) may be attached to and fixed by the second unit fixing part (15b), or conversely, the second unit fixing part (15b) may be attached to and fixed by the first unit fixing part (15a).

The main body part (11) extending from the left and right sides of the opening part (12) can be folded inward to connect a pair of fixing means (15). The portions of the main body part (11) extending from the left and right sides of the opening part (12) can roughly correspond to the sides of both cheeks and both eyes of the wearer. For this purpose, the fixing means (15) is preferably arranged on the inside of the main body part (11).

Fig. 1 shows a state in which the main body (11) is folded inwardly from the state in Fig. 2 and the fixing means (15) is fastened. As the main body (11) is folded inwardly, the main body (11) can come into closer contact with the wearer's face, thereby improving the cold protection effect. As the main body (11) is folded inwardly and fixed, the empty space between the inside of the main body (11) and the wearer's face is filled. In addition to the cold protection effect, there is an effect in which the wearer's field of vision can be secured by folding the main body (11) inwardly, which is roughly on the wearer's cheeks and the sides of both eyes. Therefore, there is an advantage in that the wearer's field of vision is not obstructed by wearing the hood when engaging in sports or leisure activities.

The fixing means (15) may also be fastened while folding the main body (11) outward. In this regard, the fixing means (15) may be placed on the outside of the main body (11). In this case, the cold protection effect may be somewhat lower than when folding inward, but it is advantageous in a temperature state where the cold protection effect is not necessary, and it still has an advantage in securing the wearer's field of vision.

The main body (11) cannot perform its original function as a safety hood if any part is folded. For example, if the upper part of the main body (11) is folded, the effect of blocking ultraviolet rays may be lost, and if the chin part, which is a slightly lower part of the main body (11), is folded, the main body (11) still covers the sides of both eyes, so securing a field of vision cannot be expected. Therefore, when the uppermost part of the main body (11) is 0 and the lowermost part is 100 (D1 of FIG. 1), the vertical arrangement position of the fixing means (15) may be between 30 and 70 (D2 of FIG. 1), and more preferably between 40 and 60. This position corresponds approximately to the sides of both eyes and both cheeks of the wearer.

In addition, when the front end of the main body (11) is 0 and the rear end is 100 (D3 in FIG. 3), the horizontal arrangement position of the fixing means (15) can be between 0 and 40 (D4 in FIG. 3), and more preferably between 5 and 30. This position is a value at which the main body (11) can be folded to a degree close to both eyes and both cheeks of the wearer. If a pair of fixing means (15: 15a, 15b) is too deep in the main body (11) (for example, arranged at positions 0 and 50), the main body (11) is folded too much by the fixing means (15), and the wearer's face is excessively exposed, so that the UV blocking and cold protection effects can be reduced. Conversely, if a pair of fixing means (15: 15a, 15b) are too shallow in the main body (11) (for example, arranged at positions 0 and 10), the degree to which the main body (11) is folded by the fixing means (15) may be low, which may reduce the cold protection effect and the field of vision securing effect.

Meanwhile, a pair of fixing means (15) can be arranged on each side of the main body (11), but if a strong fixing force is required or fixing to various positions is required, multiple pairs can be arranged with spacing between them.

Fig. 4 is a drawing comparing the frontal wearing state of a general hood according to a comparative example and a safety hood of the present invention capable of securing a field of vision. Fig. 5 is a drawing comparing the side wearing state of a general hood according to a comparative example and a safety hood of the present invention capable of securing a field of vision.

Referring to Fig. 4 (a), it can be seen that a typical hood has a lot of empty space between the inside of the main body and the wearer's head. Because there is a lot of this exposed empty space, the ear area is wide open, which significantly reduces the cold protection effect, and it is also difficult to expect a UV blocking effect from the exposed gap.

Conversely, referring to Fig. 4 (b), it can be confirmed that the safety hood (10) of the present invention is fitted closely to the wearer's cheek and eye areas by the main body (11) being folded inward by the fixing means (15). Since there is no exposed space and the ear area is prevented from spreading, the cold protection effect and ultraviolet ray blocking effect can be improved.

Referring to Figure 5 (a), it can be seen that the general hood covers both sides of the wearer's eyes because the main body is in a straight line that wraps around the wearer's head. Accordingly, the wearer's field of vision is narrowed, and outdoor activities are hindered, and it can cause danger when walking or driving.

Conversely, referring to Fig. 5(b), the safety hood (10) of the present invention opens both sides of the eyes by folding the main body (11) inward by the fixing means (15), thereby widening the wearer's field of vision and facilitating external activities.

As described above, the safety hood (10) of the present invention that enables securing a field of vision has the effect of increasing the usability by enabling a wide field of vision compared to a general hood that has a narrow field of vision and thus has low usability. It can be used as a cover to prevent skin dryness and skin-related diseases caused by ultraviolet rays, and can be worn as a general hood in normal times, but can be easily attached and detached for exercise and outdoor activities as needed, thereby improving the cold protection effect and securing a field of vision with simple operation.

Although the present invention has been illustrated and described with reference to preferred embodiments as described above, it is not limited to the above embodiments, and various modifications and changes may be made by those skilled in the art to which the present invention pertains within a scope that does not depart from the spirit of the present invention.
