Description
The present invention relates to a dental mirror, and more particularly to a dental mirror with improved anti-fog and sterilization of the mirror.
Dental mirrors observe the appearance of the oral cavity, in particular dentition and teeth, and are made of metal so that they can be disinfected by chemical treatment or heat treatment. Recently, disposable dental mirrors have been proposed in consideration of infection and contamination inside hospitals.
Since the dental mirror is used in the oral cavity of the patient, it is difficult to observe the teeth and dentition due to the bleeding on the mirror surface due to the inhalation and exhalation mixed with a large amount of moisture.
An example for preventing fogging on a mirror surface of a dental mirror is disclosed in Korean Patent No. 0185523.
The dental mirror disclosed includes a support member having a stem portion, a tip portion, a mirror fixed to one surface of the tip portion, a concave filling canister, and a plurality of small through holes for selectively opening and closing the opening of the concave filling canister. And a lid formed thereon, and a sealing film temporarily adhered to the outer side of the lid, wherein the concave filling canister contains an adsorption medium that will store heat generated by an absorption reaction with moisture in the patient's mouth.
The dental mirror prevents fogging by heating the mirror by heat generated through the exothermic reaction of moisture and adsorption medium in the mouth of the patient. However, since the dental mirrors require space to install the adsorption medium, the thickness of the dental mirror is relatively thick, and there is an inconvenience of periodically changing the adsorbent. Also, even if the temperature of the mirror is increased, it is difficult to completely eliminate the fog when the contact angle of the water droplets is large. And since such a mirror does not have an antibacterial function on its own, the time for disinfection is relatively long.
Meanwhile, Korean Utility Model Registration No. 19989-03280 discloses a method of applying an antifogging solution to a mirror in order to prevent fogging of a dental mirror. However, the application of the anti-fog solution to the mirror has a problem of contaminating the mirror has been disinfected, it can give the patient discomfort by the anti-fog solution.
The present invention is to solve the problems as described above, it is an object of the present invention to provide a dental mirror that fundamentally solved the problem of the generation of fog by reducing the contact angle of water on the mirror surface.
Another object of the present invention is to provide a dental mirror having a sterilizing power by antibacterial treatment of the dental mirror inserted into the oral cavity.

And the bag portion 30 may be divided into a plurality of screws coupled or fitted. On the other hand, the photocatalyst coating film 50 may be formed on the rear surface of the mirror member 22 and the surface of the edge member 23 and the bag portion 30.
The photocatalyst coating films 40 and 50 formed on the rear surface of the mirror surface 21, the mirror member 22, the edge member 23 and the bag 30 are made of titanium oxide, and the photocatalyst coating film 40 ( 50) is obtained by coating titanium oxide on a mirror surface by one of a sputtering method, a chemical vapor deposition method, and a plasma chemical vapor deposition method. In this case, the mirror member 20 is made of glass, and the rear surface of the mirror surface 21 and the mirror member 22 is made of titanium oxide by plasma enhanced chemical vapor deposition (PECVD) to prevent breakage due to heat. And it is preferable to coat the rim member 23 and the bag portion 30. As shown in FIG. 3, the photocatalyst coating film 40 and 50 may be provided with a plasma treatment surface 41 using nitrogen to replace nitrogen atoms and oxygen atoms of titanium oxide.
The dental mirror according to the present invention configured as described above is a photocatalyst coating film 40, 50 is made of titanium oxide having a non-stoichiometric crystal structure (crystallogra phically sheared structure) when absorbing a bandgap energy of a predetermined wavelength Conductive electrons are excited to form an electron-hole pair. Holes in the titanium oxide of the photocatalytic coating layers 40 and 50 excited as described above are used in the reduction reaction by forming an OH radical which is an oxidant to decompose the organic material. Therefore, the photocatalyst coating films 40 and 50 formed on the mirror surface 21 of the head 20 can sterilize and antibacterial pathogens in the oral cavity.
The present inventors use the dental mirrors with the photocatalyst coating films 40 and 50 and the dental mirrors without the photocatalyst coating films, such as the Streptococcus Mutans, the Streptococcus Mutans, which are major caries in the oral cavity. Experiments on the bactericidal action of Streptococcus mutans Sobrinus could yield a graph as shown in FIG. 4.
Referring to the graph shown, the dental mirror without the photocatalyst coating film did not have a sterilization effect as shown in graph A, but the dental bacteria mirror with the photocatalyst coating film as shown in the graph B as shown in the graph B around 1 hour It can be seen that all of the sterilization.
On the other hand, the contact angle (θ) of the water droplets attached to the mirror surface of the dental mirror and the conventional dental mirror according to the present invention were respectively tested to obtain the following table.
As can be seen from the above table, the mirror surface 21 on which the photocatalyst coating films 40 and 50 are formed has a good hydrophilicity with water and thus has a contact angle between the droplets of 2.5 to 4 ° so that the droplets adhere to the mirror surface 21. This expansion was found to be able to prevent the fog.
As described above, the dental mirror according to the present invention can sterilize bacteria in the oral cavity or attached thereto, and thus can prevent the fogging, thereby increasing the product value of the product.
