Claims (17)
- 신경펩티드 Y(NPY)의 발현 및/또는 분비를 감소시키는 화합물을 동물에게 투여하는 것을 포함하는, 동물의 체중 감소를 유도하는 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 화합물의 투여가 동물에서 말로닐 CoA 농도를 증가시키는 것이 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 화합물은 지방산 신타제(FAS)의 억제제이고, NPY의 발현 및/또는 분비를 감소시키기에 충분한 양으로 투여되는 것인 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 화합물은 치환된 α-메틸렌-β-카르복실-γ-부티로락톤인 것인 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 화합물은 말로닐 조효소 A 데카르복실라제(MCD)의 억제제인 것인 방법.
- 제1항 내지 제5항 중 어느 하나의 항에 있어서, 화합물은 NPY의 발현을 적어도 섭식 동물에게서 관찰되는 농도로 감소시키기에 충분한 양으로 투여되는 것인 방법.
- 제1항 내지 제5항 중 어느 하나의 항에 있어서, NPY의 발현 및/또는 분비는 FAS를 발현하는 세포에서 감소되는 것인 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 화합물의 투여는 동물에서 섭식 행동을 억제하는 것인 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 동물은 렙틴의 발현이 결핍되어 있거나, 또는 렙틴에 대해 내성이 있는 것인 방법.
- 후보 화합물을 동물 또는 시상하부 배양물에 투여하는 단계; 및신경펩티드 Y의 발현 또는 분비를 모니터링하는 단계를 포함하는, 체중 감량제를 동정하는 데 사용하기 위한 스크리닝 방법.
- 제10항에 있어서, 처리된 동물에 대해 섭식의 빈도 감소 또는 섭식의 강도 감소를 모니터링하는 것인 방법.
- 제10항에 있어서, 후보 화합물은 주사에 의해 동물에게 투여하는 것인 방법.
- 제12항에 있어서, 화합물은 복강내 또는 대뇌실내로 투여하는 것인 방법.
- 제10항 내지 제13항 중 어느 하나의 항에 있어서, 후보 화합물은 효소 지방산 신타제의 억제제인 것인 방법.
- 체중 감량제를 동물에게 투여하는 단계; 및체중 감량제로 처리한 동물에서 발현된 mRNA 종과 대조군 동물에서 발현된 mRNA 종을 비교하는 단계를 포함하는, 그 발현이 체중 감소의 조절과 관련이 있는 유전자를 동정하기 위한 스크리닝 방법으로서, 차별적으로 발현되는 mRNA 종은 체중 감소의 조절과 관련이 있는 것인 방법.
- 제15항에 있어서, 체중 감량제는 C-75와 같은 치환된 α-메틸렌-β-카르복실-γ-부티로락톤인 것인 방법.
- 제15항에 있어서, 발현된 mRNA 종의 비교는 시상하부 mRNA에 한정되는 것인 방법.
