Description
Claims (14)
- 배터리에 대해 부하 상태 및 무부하 상태 중에서 하나의 상태에서 배터리의 전압 및 전류를 측정하는 단계;상기 측정된 배터리 전압 및 전류로부터 배터리의 내부 저항 및 분극(polarization) 저항을 계산하는 단계;상기 측정된 배터리 전압과 전류, 및 상기 계산된 배터리 내부 저항 및 분극 저항으로부터 복수개의 배터리의 충전 상태, 냉 크랭킹 시간(cold cranking hours), 단락 셀의 존재, 및 부정합 셀의 존재에 관한 복수의 인자들을 판단하는 단계; 및배터리의 사용자에게 상기 판단된 팩터들을 표시하는 단계를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는,운송수단 또는 시스템에 사용되는 충전 배터리의 성능 상태(state of health; SOH)를 실시간으로 모니터하여 상기 운송수단 또는 시스템의 사용자에게 표시하는 방법.
- 1항에 있어서, 상기 판단하는 단계는 모든 상기 모든 인자들은 판단하는 단계를 포함하고, 상기 표시하는 단계는 모든 상기 판단된 인자들 모두를 표시하는 단계를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 2항에 있어서, 상기 배터리의 사용자에게 상기 측정된 배터리 전압, 배터리 전류, 및 계산된 내부 저항 중에서 적어도 하나를 표시하는 단계를 추가로 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 상기 1항에 있어서, 상기 배터리의 내부 저항을 계산하는 단계는 DC 베이스로 행하여지고,이미 알려진 크기의 전압(V) 및 전류(I) 중에서 하나를 상기 배터리에 인가하는 단계;상기 알려진 기지 크기의 전압에 응답하여 배터리 전류의 변화량(dI)을 판단하고, 및 상기 알려진 크기의 전류에 응답하여 배터리 전압의 변화량(dV)을 판단하는 단계; 및식 dV/dI 를 사용하여 배터리 내부 저항(R)을 계산하는 단계;를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 상기 1항에 있어서, 상기 배터리의 내부 저항을 계산하는 단계는 AC 베이스로 행하여지고,교류 전압 또는 전류를 상기 배터리에 인가하는 단계;대응되는 배터리 전류 및 전압 응답값을 측정하는 단계; 및인가된 전압 또는 전류값, 및 측정된 전류 또는 전류 응답값으로부터 저항값을 계산하는 단계를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 상기 1항에 있어서, 분극(polarization) 저항을 계산하는 단계는,직류 베이스로 배터리 내부 저항을 계산하는 단계, 교류 베이스로 배터리 내부 저항을 계산하는 단계, 및 상기 직류 베이스로 계산된 내부 저항으로부터 교류 베이스로 계산된 내부 저항을 감산하는 단계를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 상기 1항에 있어서, 충전 상태(SOC)를 판단하는 단계는 다음의 공식을 인가하는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.여기서, OCV는 개방 회로(open circuit) 상태에서 측정된 배터리 전압임
- 상기 1항에 있어서, 상기 배터리는 납 산성(lead acid) 충전 배터리이고, 상기 냉 크랭킹(CCA) 인자를 판단하는 단계는 배터리 내부 저항을 계산하는 단계 및 다음 식을 인가하는 단계를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 상기 8항에 있어서, 상기 배터리 내부 저항을 계산하는 단계는 알려진 전류값의 펄스를 인가하는 단계 및 상기 전류 펄스에 응답하여 전압값의 변화를 측정하는 단계를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 상기 1항에 있어서, 상기 단락된 셀의 인자를 판단하는 단계는,배터리를 최고 용량까지 충전하는 단계;배터리 단자 전압이 특정 레벨로 저하되는 시점까지의 기간 동안에 배터리 단자 전압을 측정하는 단계; 및상기 기간 동안에 배터리의 용량을 측정하여 배터리의 용량에 변화가 있는지 여부를 판단하는 단계를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 상기 1항에 있어서, 부정합 셀의 인자를 판단하는 단계는;배터리를 방전시키고, 방전하는 동안에 배터리 전압이 두 개의 전압 평탄역(plateaus)을 통과하는지를 판단하는 단계; 및배터리를 충전시키고, 정점 시간(top time)에 대한 배터리 전압 충전의 비율이 최고값을 통과하는지 여부를 판단하는 단계를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 운송수단이 사용하는 저장 배터리의 성능 상태(state of health; SOH)를 실시간으로 모니터 하여 상기 운송수단의 사용자에게 표시하는 시스템에 있어서,상기 시스템은 상기 배터리의 적어도 하나의 단자에 연결되어 배터리에 탑재된 회로 모듈을 포함하고, 상기 회로 모듈은:배터리에 대해 부하 상태 및 무부하 상태 중에서 하나의 상태에서 배터리의 전압 및 전류를 측정하여 디지털 형태로 전압 및 전류 데이터 값을 산출하는 수단;상기 측정된 배터리 전압 및 전류의 데이터 값으로부터 배터리의 내부 저항 및 극성(polarization) 저항을 계산하고, 상기 배터리 전압, 전류, 상기 배터리 내부 저항(IR), 및 극성 저항으로부터 배터리의 충전 상태, 냉 크랭킹 시간(cold cranking hours), 단락 셀의 존재, 및 부정합 셀의 존재에 관한 팩터들 중에서 적어도 하나의 팩터를 계산하는 수단; 및상기 계산된 팩터들 각각을 상기 배터리의 사용자에게 표시하는 디스플레이를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 시스템.
- 상기 12항에 있어서, 상기 디스플레이는 상기 배터리 상에 탑재되는 것을 특징으로 하는 시스템
- 상기 12항에 있어서, 상기 배터리는 납 산성 충전 배터리이고, 상기 냉 크랭킹 시간(CCAS)팩터를 계산하는 수단은, 식에 기초하여 계산하는 것을 특징으로하는 시스템.
