Abstract

본 고안은 칼라 음극선관에서 화소가 형성되는 판넬부에 소정의 코팅층을 형성하여 휘도 및 콘트라스트 등의 특성을 현저하게 향상시킬 수 있는 블랙 코팅 음극선관 판넬에 관한 것이다.
본 고안은 판넬(10) 및 펀넬(11)을 접합한 진공벌브 구조의 음극선관에 있어서: 상기 판넬(10)의 외측면 그리고/또는 내측면에 소정의 흑색안료를 코팅시킨 블랙 코팅층(20)을 형성하는데, 판넬의 중앙부는 블랙 코팅층을 비교적 진하게 형성하고 주변부로 갈수록 흐르게 형성하는 상대적 블랙 코팅을 제공한다.
이에 따라, 판넬의 중앙부 및 주변부가 균일한 휘도를 유지하고, R·G·B 형광체에 대한 칼라 필터의 역할로 콘트라스트를 보정하며, 외광에 의한 판넬면의 반사도 줄여주는 등 칼라 수상관의 특성을 향상시키는 효과가 있다.

본 고안은 칼라 수상관(또는 음극선관)에 관한 것으로서, 특히 칼라 음극선관에서 화소가 형성되는 판넬부에 소정의 코팅층을 형성하여 휘도 및 콘트라스트 등의 특성을 현저하게 향상시킬 수 있는 블랙 코팅 음극선관 판넬에 관한 것이다.
일반적으로 음극선관은, 제 1 도에 도시된 바와 같이, 판넬(10) 및 펀넬(11)을 접합한 진공 벌브(bulb) 구조에서 판넬(10)의 후방에는 새도우 마스크 조립체(12)가 일정한 간격을 유지하며 장착되고, 펀넬(11)의 네크(neck)부에는 전자총 조립체(13)가 장착된다.
그 판넬(10)의 내면에는 형광면이 형성되어 있는 바, 전자총 조립체(13)로부터 방출된 전자빔이 각종 렌즈계에 의해 집속되고 가속되며, 양극을 통해 인가되는 고전압에 의해 크게 가속되면서 펀넬(11)의 외부에 설치되는 편향요크(도시생략)에 의해 편향되고, 새도우 마스크 조립체(12)에 형성된 미세한 애퍼처 또는 슬로트를 차례로 통과하여 형광면에 주사되면 R·G·B로 구성되는 형광체에 충돌하여 배합된 소정의 색상을 지니는 화소를 형성시킨다.
이러한 음극선관에서 전자빔이 판넬(10)의 형광면에 주사되는 각도가 형광면의 전면적에 걸쳐 변화되는데, 전자빔이 형광면의 중앙부를 지날때는 직각으로 주사되고 형광면의 주변부를 지날 때는 심하게 경사지게 주사된다. 이에 따라 형광면의 주변부는 중앙부에 비해 입사, 충돌되는 전자빔이 적으므로 휘도가 저하되는 구조적인 문제가 있다.
특히 근래의 제품 대형화·고급화 추세에 따른 대형 수상관의 경우는 상기의 문제가 더욱 심하게 대두되어 중요한 해결 과제로 되고, 전자빔 주사과정에서 발생하는 산란전자가 유발하는 불필요한 발광 또는 외광에 의해 화소의 밝고 어두운 부분의 명암비가 명확해 지지 않아 전반적으로 콘트라스트가 열화 되는 결함도 해결되어야 하는 과제이다. 특히, 중앙 부분에서는 휘도가 높고 주변부분에서는 휘도가 크게 떨어져 화면 전반에 걸쳐 불균일하게 되며, 콘크라스트특성이 크게 저하하는 문제점이 있다.
따라서, 본 고안은 칼라 음극선관에서 R·G·B로 구성되는 형광체에 의한 화소가 형성되는 판넬부에 소정의 코팅층을 형성하여 휘도를 균일하게 하고 콘트라스트 특성을 향상시킬 수 있는 블랙 코팅 음극선관 판넬을 제공하는데 그 목적이 있다.
본 고안은 상기의 목적을 달성하기 위하여, 판넬(10) 및 펀넬(11)을 접합한 진공벌브 구조의 음극선관에 있어서: 상기 판넬(10)의 외측면 그리고/또는 내측면에 소정의 흑색안료를 코팅시킨 블랙 코팅층(20)이 형성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 블랙 코팅 음극선관 판넬을 제공한다.
이때, 상기 블랙 코팅층(20)을 형성하는 흑색안료는 판넬(10)의 중앙부에서 주변부로 가면서 밀한 분포상(D)에서 소한 분포상(L)으로 되고, 전체적으로 사각 패턴(20a) 또는 원형패턴(20b)의 형상으로 코팅된다.
이하, 본 고안은 첨부된 도면에 의거 바람직한 실시예를 상세히 설명한다.
제 2 도는 본 고안에 따른 블랙 코팅 상태를 나타내는 판넬의 단면도가 도시된다.
우선, 습식 슬러리법에 의해 칼라 수상관의 형광면을 생성하는 과정을 살펴보면, 유리 재질의 판넬(10) 내면에 자외선에 의해 경화하는 감광성 수지(resist)를 도포하고 건조시킨 후 노광을 실시하여 형성한 광 점착막에 소정 배열구조의 블랙 코팅층(14)을 완성하고, 그 블랙 코팅층(14)위에는 안료부착 적·녹·청 형광체(15)를 순차적으로 일정량 도포한 다음 건조 후 고압 수은 램프 등을 이용하는 노광을 실시하여 형광면을 완성하고, 그 형광면 위에는 형광체(15) 입자의 손실을 방지하고 Al의 경면성(鏡面性)을 향상시키기 위한 유기수지막(lacquer film)을 형성한 후, 전자빔이 형광체(15)와 충돌후 판넬(10) 후방으로 발산되는 빛을 전방으로 보내주기 위한 Al막(16)을 형성한다.
이때, 판넬(10)의 외면에는 무반사 흑색안료로된 블랙 코팅층(20)을 형성하여 판넬(10) 자체의 반사율을 저하시킴과 동시에 휘도를 균일하게 하고 콘트라스트를 향상시킨다. 흑색안료는 적절한 입자경을 지닌 미립자 상태의 것을 사용하여 수십~수백 Å 정도의 두께로 도포하는데, 입자 직경이 너무 작으면(예컨대 100Å 이하) 반사방지 기능은 약화되고 직경이 너무 크면(예컨대 수천 Å이상) 전체적인 휘도 및 해상도가 현저하게 열화 된다. 이러한 블랙 코팅층(20)은 판넬(10)의 내면에 추가로 형성하는 것도 가능하다. 이 경우 흑색안료가 형광체 자체의 발광을 흡수하는 결점이 있으므로 판넬(10) 외면에 도포할때보다 그 입자경 및 도포두께를 더욱 축소시키는 것이 바람직하다.
제 3 도는 본 고안에 따른 블랙 코팅 상태를 나타내는 판넬의 정면도가 도시된다.
블랙 코팅층(20)을 형성하는 흑색안료는 판넬(10)상에서 균일하게 도포하는 것이 아니고, 판넬(10)의 중앙부에서 주변부로 가면서 밀한 분포상(D)에서 소한 분포상(L)으로 코팅한다. 그러나 실제 공정에 있어서 밀한 분포상(D)에서 소한 분포상(L)으로 연속적으로 밀도를 변화시키는 것이 기술성 또는 경제성 측면에서 용이하게 하기 위해, 제 3a 도의 사각 패턴(20a) 또는 제 3b 도의 원형 패턴(20b)의 형상과 같이 다수개의 불연속적인 밀도분포를 갖도록 코팅하는 것도 무방하다.
또한, 그 블랙 코팅층(20)은 상술한 형광면의 형성전에 판넬에 형성하고 형광면을 그 블랙 코팅층(20)위에 형성시키는 것도 가능하다.
또, 판넬전면에 도포하는 경우, 그 블랙 코팅층(20)에 도전성 금속산화물 미립자를 혼합하여 형성시킴으로써 대전방지막으로의 기능도 할 수 있다.
이상과 같이 판넬의 중앙부는 블랙 코팅층을 비교적 진하게 형성하고 주변부로 갈수록 흐리게 형성하는 상대적 블랙 코팅에 의해 판넬의 중앙부 및 주변부가 균일한 휘도를 유지하고, R·G·B 형광체에 대한 칼라 필터의 역할로 콘트라스트를 보정하며, 외광에 의한 판넬면의 반사도 줄여주는 등 칼라 수상관의 특성을 향상시키는 효과가 있다.
본 고안은 특정의 바람직한 실시예에 관련하여 도시하고 설명하였지만, 이하의 실용신안등록청구의 범위에 의해 마련되는 본 고안의 정신이나 분야를 이탈하지 않는 한도내에서 본 고안이 다양하게 개조 및 변화될 수 있다는 것을 당업계에서 통상의 지식을 가진 자는 용이하게 알 수 있다.

Claims (2)

  1. 판넬(10) 및 펀넬(11)을 접합한 진공벌브 구조의 음극선관에 있어서, 상기 판넬(10)의 외측면 그리고/또는 내측면에 소정의 흑색안료를 코팅시킨 블랙 코팅층(20)이 형성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 블랙 코팅 음극선관 판넬.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 블랙 코팅층(20)을 형성하는 흑색안료는 판넬(10)의 중앙부에서 주변부로 가면서 밀한 분포상(D)에서 소한 분포상(L)으로 되고, 그 밀하고 소한 분포상(D, L)이 전체적으로 사각 패턴(20a) 또는 원형 패턴(20b)의 형상으로 코팅되는 것을 특징으로 하는 블랙 코팅 음극선관 판넬.
