Abstract

PURPOSE: A menu position movement method is provided to move the menu at a desired position in a screen by using a remote controller without a mouse device so that it can effectively move the menu in a small sized computer, for example a handy terminal or a PDA. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises steps of recognizing a menu movement instruction(S402), moving the menu(S404), finishing the movement of the menu(S406) and redisplaying the menu(S408). In the step of recognizing the menu movement instruction(S402), it is checked whether an enter key on the remote controller is pushed for a set time. In the step of moving the menu(S404), the contour of the menu is displayed and is moved according to the input of the direction keys. In the step of finishing the movement of the menu(S406), the push of the enter key is checked. In the step of redisplaying the menu(S408), the menu is displayed at a new position.
