Claims (8)
- 수신기(100)에서 라디오 주파수(radio frequency: RF) 신호를 수신하는 방법에 있어서,적응 등화기(adaptive equalizer, 104)에서 RF 신호를 등화시켜서 등화 신호(equalized signal, 126)를 발생시키고,상기 등화 신호를 복조하여 복조 데이터(demodulated data, 116)를 발생시키고,상기 등화 신호의 파일롯 채널(pilot channel)과 기설정된 데이터 수열을 비교함으로써 에러 신호(124)를 발생시키고,상기 에러 신호에 응답하여 상기 적응 등화기를 적응시키는 것을 특징으로 하는 수신 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 RF 신호에 대한 신호 대 잡음비의 추정치(an estimate of signal to noise ratio(SNR))를 발생시키고(318),상기 SNR의 추정치에 응답하여 상기 복조 데이터를 스케일링하는(322) 것을 더 특징으로 하는 수신 방법.
- 제2항에 있어서,상기 스케일링된 복조 데이터(scaled demodulated data)를 최대 개연성 부호화 알고리즘(maximum likelihood coding algorithm)에 따라 복호화하는(530) 것을 더 특징으로 하는 수신 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서,제1 시간 간격 동안(during first time intervals) 파일롯 심볼을 수신하고,상기 제1 시간 간격 사이에 산재되어 있는(interspersed with the first time intervals) 제2 시간 간격 동안 데이터 심볼을 수신하고,상기 제1 시간 간격 동안에만 상기 적응 등화기(604)를 적응시키는 것(616)을 더 특징으로 하는 수신 방법.
- 제4항에 있어서, 상기 복조 데이터를 상기 제2 시간 간격 동안에만 제공하는(614) 것을 더 특징으로 하는 수신 방법.

- 제6항에 있어서,상기 제1 등화 신호에 응답하여 상기 에러 신호를 발생시키고(724),상기 제2 등화 신호를 복조하여(722) 상기 복조 데이터를 발생시키는 것을 더 특징으로 하는 수신 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 RF 신호의 파일롯 채널과 하나 이상의 동기화 채널을 검출하고,상기 파일롯 채널과 상기 하나 이상의 동기화 채널에 응답하여 상기 에러 신호를 발생시키는 것을 더 특징으로 하는 수신 방법.
