Claims (20)
- 바이오센서를 제작하는 방법으로서, 상기 방법은:
(a) 후면 조사형(backside illumination) CMOS(complementary metal-oxide-semiconductor) 이미지 센서 위에 패시베이션 층을 증착하는 단계 ― 상기 이미지 센서는:
(i) 전자 회로 층, 및
(ii) 상기 전자 회로 층 위의 광 감지 층을 포함하고,
상기 광 감지 층은 복수의 포토다이오드들을 포함하고, 상기 복수의 포토다이오드들은 상기 전자 회로 층에 대향하는 광 수용 표면들을 포함하며,
증착된 상기 패시베이션 층은, 상기 광 수용 표면들 위에 있고 상기 전자 회로 층에 대향함 ―;
(b) 상기 패시베이션 층 위에 재료 층을 증착하는 단계;
(c) 상기 패시베이션 층 위에 증착된 상기 재료 층에 복수의 개구들을 형성하는 단계 ― 각각의 개구는, 하나의 포토다이오드와 정렬되거나 복수의 포토다이오드들을 포함하는 단위 셀과 정렬됨 ―; 및
(d) 상기 복수의 개구들 각각에 스폿(spot) 또는 웰(well)을 기능화시키는 단계를 포함하고,
각각의 스폿 또는 웰은 하나의 핵산 고분자를 결속하도록 크기가 정해지고 화학적으로 기능화되는,
방법. - 제1 항에 있어서,
상기 복수의 개구들을 형성하고 상기 복수의 개구들 각각에 스폿 또는 웰을 기능화시키는 단계는, 스폿들 또는 웰들의 규칙적인 어레이를 형성하는 단계를 포함하고,
각각의 스폿 또는 웰은 이산 양전하 영역(discrete positively charged area)이고,
각각의 스폿은, 핵산 고분자들을 결속하지 않도록 구성된다는 점에서 불활성인 영역들에 의해 다른 스폿들과 분리되는,

상기 후면 조사형 CMOS 이미지 센서 위에 패시베이션 층을 증착하는 단계는 상기 광 수용 표면들 상에 상기 패시베이션 층을 증착하는 단계를 포함하는,
