Claims (27)
- 특정 재생 빈도로 영상 신호를 표시하도록 구성된 복수의 서브 화소를 포함하는 화소 영역;
상기 복수의 서브 화소와 전기적으로 연결된, 복수의 ELVDD배선;
상기 복수의 서브 화소와 전기적으로 연결된, 복수의 데이터 배선;
상기 복수의 서브 화소와 전기적으로 연결된, 복수의 스캔 배선;
상기 복수의 서브 화소와 전기적으로 연결된, 복수의 EM 배선;
상기 복수의 스캔 배선에 스캔 신호를 순차적으로 공급하고, 상기 복수의 EM 배선에 상기 화소 영역의 디밍 수준을 제어하도록 구성된 특정 듀티비 패턴을 가지는 EM 신호를 순차적으로 공급하도록 구성된, 스캔 드라이버; 및,
상기 복수의 데이터 배선 및 상기 스캔 드라이버와 전기적으로 연결되고, 디밍 제어 신호에 따라 상기 디밍 수준을 제어하도록 구성된, 구동부를 포함하고,
각 프레임 구간에서, 상기 EM 신호는 각각의 턴-온 듀티비 조절이 가능한 복수의 턴-온 펄스를 포함하고,
상기 EM 신호의 상기 복수의 턴-온 펄스의 듀티비는 서로 상이하게 설정된, 전계 발광 표시 장치. - 제1항에 있어서,
상기 구동부는, 프로그램 구간에서 상기 스캔 신호에 대응되는 데이터 전압을 상기 복수의 데이터 배선에 공급하고,
상기 구동부는, 상기 프로그램 구간 이후의 발광 구간에서 상기 디밍 제어 신호에 응답하여 상기 EM 신호의 상기 특정 듀티비 패턴을 조절하도록 구성된, 전계 발광 표시 장치. - 삭제

상기 EM 제어 신호는, 상기 EM 신호의 상기 특정 듀티비 패턴에 대한 정보를 포함하는, 전계 발광 표시 장치. - 제14항에 있어서,
상기 구동부는, 상기 EM 제어 신호를 제어하여, 상기 EM 신호의 상기 복수의 턴-온 펄스의 개수를 각 프레임 구간마다 서로 상이하게 출력하도록 구성된, 전계 발광 표시 장치. - 제16항에 있어서,
상기 복수의 턴-온 펄스의 개수는, 적어도 하나의 턴-온 펄스의 턴-온 듀티비를 0%로 설정함으로써 저감되는, 전계 발광 표시 장치. - 제1항에 있어서,
상기 스캔 드라이버는, 제1 스캔 드라이버 및 제2 스캔 드라이버를 더 포함하는, 전계 발광 표시 장치. - 제18항에 있어서,
상기 제1 스캔 드라이버는 상기 화소 영역의 제1 측면에 위치하고,
상기 제2 스캔 드라이버는 상기 화소 영역의 제1 측면의 반대 측면에 위치하는, 전계 발광 표시 장치. - 제1항에 있어서,
상기 전계 발광 표시 장치는 시스템을 더 포함하고,
상기 구동부는, 상기 시스템으로부터 디밍 제어 신호를 전달 받고, 상기 디밍 제어 신호에 대응하여, 각 프레임 구간 단위로 상기 디밍 수준을 제어하도록 구성된, 전계 발광 표시 장치. - 제20항에 있어서,
상기 특정 듀티비 패턴은 듀티 코드로 구성된, 전계 발광 표시 장치. - 제21항에 있어서,
상기 듀티 코드는, 상기 각 프레임 구간별 복수의 턴-온 펄스들의 코드가 점진적으로 가변 되도록 구성된, 전계 발광 표시 장치. - 제21항에 있어서,
상기 듀티 코드는, 상기 각 프레임 구간별 복수의 턴-온 펄스들의 코드가 비 점진적으로 가변 되도록 구성된, 전계 발광 표시 장치. - 제23항에 있어서,
상기 비 점진적 듀티 코드는 인접한 프레임 구간의 듀티 코드를 고려해서 결정된, 전계 발광 표시 장치. - 전계 발광 표시 장치의 디밍(dimming) 수준 가변을 위해서 계조(gray level)에 대응되는 감마(gamma) 전압 커브의 최대 전압 값을 조절하고, 글로벌 디밍(global dimming)을 구현하기 위하여 이용되는 특정 듀티비 패턴(duty ratio pattern)을 가지는 발광(EM: emission) 신호를 생성하는 회로부를 포함하며,
상기 특정 듀티비 패턴을 가지는 EM 신호에 의해서 영상 플리커(flicker) 현상을 저감하면서 세밀한 디밍 수준을 제공하고,
각 프레임 구간에서 상기 특정 듀티비 패턴은 각각의 턴-온 듀티비 조절이 가능한 복수의 턴-온 펄스를 구비하고,
상기 EM 신호의 상기 복수의 턴-온 펄스의 듀티비는 서로 상이하게 설정된, 전계 발광 표시 장치. - 제25항에 있어서,
상기 회로부는 상기 특정 듀티비 패턴을 가지는 EM 신호가 디밍 수준을 n 단계로 조절하기 위한 듀티비가 서로 다른 n 개의 PWM 파형으로 이루어지도록 상기 특정 듀티비 패턴을 가지는 EM 신호를 생성하는, 전계 발광 표시 장치. - 제26항에 있어서,
상기 회로부에서 생성된 상기 EM 신호의 특정 듀티비 패턴은 각 영상 프레임 구간별 복수의 턴-온 펄스들의 코드가 점진적으로 가변되도록 구성된 듀티 코드(duty code)를 포함하며,
상기 듀티 코드는 상기 각 영상 프레임 구간별 복수의 턴-온 펄스들의 코드가 비 점진적으로 가변 되도록 구성되고,
상기 듀티 코드는 인접한 영상 프레임 구간의 듀티 코드를 고려해서 결정된, 전계 발광 표시 장치.
