Abstract
Description
도 2는 고인성 멀티필라멘트 신장체 그룹들 사이에 끼워진(interleaved) 스레드로 서로 연결된(interconnected) 2 개의 섬유 플라이를 갖는 본 개시사항의 부직 섬유 재료를 개략적으로 나타내는 사시도이다.
도 3은 본 개시사항의 멀티-플라이 직물의 형성을 개략적으로 나타내는 사시도 (스케일(scale)대로 도시되지 않음)이며, 여기서 섬유 플라이는 한 세트의 롤 사이에서 함께 프레스되어, 멀티필라멘트 신장체가 스프레드되고(spread) 인접한 신장체 사이의 갭이 감소된다.
도 4는 본 개시사항의 멀티-플라이 직물의 형성을 개략적으로 나타내는 사시도 (스케일대로 도시되지 않음)이며, 여기서 섬유 플라이는 두 세트의 롤러 사이에서 함께 프레스되어, 멀티필라멘트 신장체가 스프레드되고 인접한 신장체 사이의 갭이 감소된다.

Claims (12)
- 복수의 제 1 멀티필라멘트 신장체를 포함하는 제 1 섬유 플라이로서, 상기 제 1 멀티필라멘트 신장체의 적어도 일부는 서로에 대해 구속되지 않고 제 1 섬유 플라이 내에서 자유롭게 움직일 수 있도록 서로 연결되지 않거나, 본드되지 않거나 또는 융합되지 않고, 상기 제 1 멀티필라멘트 신장체의 각각은 적어도 7 g/데니어의 인성(tenacity) 및 적어도 150 g/데니어의 초기 인장 모듈러스(tensile modulus)를 갖는, 제 1 섬유 플라이; 및
상기 제 1 섬유 플라이 상에서 이와 동연(coextensive)하는 제 2 섬유 플라이로서, 상기 제 2 섬유 플라이는 복수의 제 2 멀티필라멘트 신장체를 포함하고, 상기 제 2 멀티필라멘트 신장체의 적어도 일부는 서로에 대해 구속되지 않고 제 2 섬유 플라이 내에서 자유롭게 움직일 수 있도록 서로 연결되지 않거나, 본드되지 않거나 또는 융합되지 않고, 상기 제 2 멀티필라멘트 신장체의 각각은 적어도 7 g/데니어의 인성 및 적어도 150 g/데니어의 초기 인장 모듈러스를 갖는, 제 2 섬유 플라이를 포함하며,
상기 인성 및 상기 인장 모듈러스는 ASTM D2256 시험 절차에 의해 측정되고,
상기 제 1 섬유 플라이와 상기 제 2 섬유 플라이는 서로에 대해 구속되지 않고 각각의 제 1 섬유 플라이 및 제 2 섬유 플라이 내에서 자유롭게 움직일 수 있도록 서로 라미네이트되지 않거나, 접착제로 서로 접착 본드되지 않거나, 또는 서로 열 융합되지 않고,
상기 제 1 멀티필라멘트 신장체의 각각은 적어도 2:1의 단면 애스펙트 비(cross-sectional aspect ratio)(1ARf)를 갖는 제 1 멀티필라멘트 섬유를 포함하며, 상기 제 2 멀티필라멘트 신장체의 각각은 적어도 2:1의 단면 애스펙트 비(2ARf)를 갖는 제 2 멀티필라멘트 섬유를 포함하는, 섬유 재료. - 제1항에 있어서,
상기 제 1 섬유 플라이와 상기 제 2 섬유 플라이를 서로 연결하는 적어도 제 1 스레드 세트를 추가로 포함하며, 상기 제 1 스레드 세트는 복수의 제 3 신장체를 포함하는, 섬유 재료. - 삭제
- 제1항에 있어서,
상기 제 1 멀티필라멘트 섬유는 1ARi의 애스펙트 비를 갖는 제 1 멀티필라멘트 전구체 섬유로 형성되고, 상기 제 2 멀티필라멘트 섬유는 2ARi의 애스펙트 비를 갖는 제 2 멀티필라멘트 전구체 섬유로 형성되며, 1ARf는 1ARi의 적어도 2배이고, 2ARf는 2ARi의 적어도 2배인, 섬유 재료. - 제4항에 있어서,
1ARi는 1:1 내지 2:1이고, 1ARf는 2:1 내지 4:1이며, 2ARi는 1:1 내지 2:1이고, 2ARf는 2:1 내지 4:1인, 섬유 재료. - 제4항에 있어서,
1ARf는 1ARi의 적어도 5배이고, 2ARf는 2ARi의 적어도 5배인, 섬유 재료. - 제2항에 있어서,
상기 제 3 신장체는 제 3 섬유를 포함하고, 상기 제 1 멀티필라멘트 섬유 및 상기 제 2 멀티필라멘트 섬유의 각각은 상기 제 3 섬유의 인성의 적어도 2 배의 인성을 가지며, 상기 제 3 섬유의 각각은 상기 제 1 멀티필라멘트 섬유 및 상기 제 2 멀티필라멘트 섬유의 파단 신율의 적어도 2배의 파단 신율을 가지며, 상기 제 1 멀티필라멘트 섬유 및 상기 제 2 멀티필라멘트 섬유의 각각은 중합체 바인더로 코팅되고, 상기 중합체 바인더는 섬유 재료의 10 중량% 이하로 포함되는, 섬유 재료. - 제1항에 있어서,
인접한 제 1 멀티필라멘트 신장체 사이에 갭이 존재하지 않고, 인접한 제 2 멀티필라멘트 신장체 사이에 갭이 존재하지 않고, 상기 제 1 섬유 플라이 및 상기 제 2 섬유 플라이는 부직물(non-woven)인, 섬유 재료. - a) 평평하고, 평행한 어레이로 배열된 복수의 제 1 멀티필라멘트 신장체를 포함하는 제 1 섬유 플라이를 제공하는 단계로서, 상기 제 1 멀티필라멘트 신장체의 각각은 적어도 7 g/데니어의 인성(tenacity) 및 적어도 150 g/데니어 초기 인장 모듈러스(tensile modulus)를 갖는 단계;
b) 평평하고, 평행한 어레이로 배열된 복수의 제 2 멀티필라멘트 신장체를 포함하는 제 2 섬유 플라이를 제공하는 단계로서, 상기 제 2 멀티필라멘트 신장체의 각각은 적어도 7 g/데니어의 인성 및 적어도 150 g/데니어의 초기 인장 모듈러스를 갖는 단계;
c) 상기 제 1 섬유 플라이를 상기 제 2 섬유 플라이와 동연하게 위치시키고, 그 후, 선택적으로는 제 1 섬유 플라이와 제 2 섬유 플라이를 서로 기계적으로 부착시켜서 플라이 세트를 형성하는 단계;
d) 그 후, 상기 플라이 세트를 270℉ (132.2℃) 내지 302℉ (150.0℃)의 온도로 가열하고, 상기 플라이 세트를 상기 가열과 동시에 또는 후속하여 500 psi (3447 kPa) 미만의 압력으로 프레스에서 함께 프레싱(pressing)함으로써, 상기 플라이 세트의 압축을 통해 상기 멀티필라멘트 신장체의 필라멘트가 떨어져서 스프레드(spread apart)되어, 각각의 개별적인 섬유 플라이에서 인접한 멀티필라멘트 신장체의 길이방향 에지가 서로 접촉되는 단계; 및
e) 선택적으로 가열된 플라이 세트를 냉각시키는 단계로서, 상기 제 1 섬유 플라이와 상기 제 2 섬유 플라이는 서로에 대해 구속되지 않고 각각의 제 1 섬유 플라이 및 제 2 섬유 플라이 내에서 자유롭게 움직일 수 있도록 서로 라미네이트되지 않거나, 접착제로 서로 접착 본드되지 않거나, 또는 서로 열 융합되지 않는 단계를 포함하며,
상기 인성 및 상기 인장 모듈러스는 ASTM D2256 시험 절차에 의해 측정되고,
상기 제 1 멀티필라멘트 신장체의 각각은 적어도 2:1의 단면 애스펙트 비(cross-sectional aspect ratio)(1ARf)를 갖는 제 1 멀티필라멘트 섬유를 포함하며, 상기 제 2 멀티필라멘트 신장체의 각각은 적어도 2:1의 단면 애스펙트 비(2ARf)를 갖는 제 2 멀티필라멘트 섬유를 포함하는, 섬유 재료의 형성 방법. - 삭제
