Abstract
본 발명의 편광 필름은, 폴리비닐알코올계 수지를 형성 재료로 하고, 이색성 물질을 갖는 편광 필름으로서, 광각(廣角) X선 회절법에 의해 측정한, 방위각 분포에 있어서의 배향도가 81.0% 이상인 것을 특징으로 한다.

Claims (4)
- 폴리비닐알코올계 수지를 형성 재료로 하고, 이색성 물질을 갖는 편광 필름으로서,
상기 편광 필름에 대해 광각(廣角) X선 회절의 스루법으로 얻어진 회절상으로부터, 2θ=19.5~20.5°의 범위를 원환 적분하고 백그라운드 보정해 얻어진, 방위각 분포에 있어서 하기 식을 만족하는 배향도가 81.0% 이상이고,
배향도(%)=(360-W)/360 식 (C)
(식 (C)에 있어서, W는 방위각 분포 곡선의 피크 전체의 적분값을 100%로 할 때에 적분값이 50%가 되는 피크 전체 폭을 모든 배향성 피크에 대해 구했을 때의 이들의 합이다.)
상기 편광 필름의 흡수축 방향에 있어서, 라멜라형 결정 사이의 거리(Wa)가 7.0 ㎚ 이상 30.0 ㎚ 이하이며,
상기 편광 필름의 투과축 방향에 있어서, 라멜라형 결정 사이의 거리(Wb)가 1.0 ㎚ 이상 10.0 ㎚ 이하인 것을 특징으로 하는 편광 필름. - 제1항에 있어서, 상기 편광 필름 중의 가소제의 함유량이 1 질량% 이하인 편광 필름.
- 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서, 상기 편광 필름의 두께가 30 ㎛ 이하인 편광 필름.
- 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서, 펄스 NMR(1H)에 의해 얻어지는 스핀-스핀 완화 시간으로부터 구한 결정부, 구속 비결정부 및 비결정부의 합계에 대한 상기 구속 비결정부의 비율이 40% 이상 95% 이하인 것을 특징으로 하는 편광 필름.
