Claims (13)
- 다수의 부직 섬유상 플라이(fibrous ply)를 포함하는 제1 복합체로서, 상기 다수의 섬유상 플라이는 통합되며(consolidated); 섬유상 플라이는 각각 다수의 일방향 배향 섬유를 포함하며, 상기 섬유는 인성(tenacity)이 7 g/데니어 이상이고, 인장 계수가 150 g/데니어 이상이며; 여기서 제1 복합체의 각각의 섬유상 플라이에서 일방향 배향 섬유는 상기 제1 복합체의 각각의 인접 플라이의 종 섬유 방향에 대해 비평행(non-parallel) 종 섬유 방향으로 배향되는 제1 복합체; 및
다수의 부직 섬유상 플라이를 포함하는, 제1 복합체에 부착되는 제2 복합체로서, 상기 다수의 섬유상 플라이는 통합되며; 섬유상 플라이는 각각 다수의 일방향 배향 섬유를 포함하며, 상기 섬유는 인성이 7 g/데니어 이상이고, 인장 계수가 150 g/데니어 이상이며; 여기서 제2 복합체의 각각의 섬유상 플라이에서 일방향 배향 섬유는 상기 제2 복합체의 각각의 인접 플라이의 종 섬유 방향에 대해 비평행 종 섬유 방향으로 배향되는 제2 복합체
를 포함하는 방탄(ballistic resistant) 재료로서,
제1 복합체의 각 플라이에서 섬유의 종 섬유 방향은 제2 복합체의 각 플라이에서 섬유의 종 섬유 방향과 상이하고;
제1 복합체는 면 밀도가 적어도 100 g/㎡이며, 제2 복합체는 면 밀도가 적어도 100 g/㎡이고, 제1 복합체의 면 밀도는 제1 복합체와 제2 복합체의 총 합계 면 밀도의 50%를 초과하는 방탄 재료. - 제1항에 있어서, 제1 복합체의 각 섬유상 플라이에서 일방향 배향 섬유가 상기 제1 복합체의 인접 플라이 각각의 종 섬유 방향에 대해 90°의 각도로 배향되고, 제2 복합체의 각 섬유상 플라이에서 일방향 배향 섬유가 상기 제2 복합체의 인접 플라이 각각의 종 섬유 방향에 대해 90°의 각도로 배향되는 것인 방탄 재료.
- 제1항에 있어서, 제1 복합체의 면 밀도는 제1 복합체와 제2 복합체의 총 합계 면 밀도의 60%를 초과하는 것인 방탄 재료.
- 제1항에 있어서, 제1 복합체의 섬유와 제2 복합체의 섬유는 중합체 결합제에 의해 코팅되는 것인 방탄 재료.
- 제4항에 있어서, 제1 복합체를 형성하는 섬유 및 중합체 결합제는 둘 다 제2 복합체를 형성하는 섬유 및 중합체 결합제와 화학적으로 동일한 것인 방탄 재료.
- 제5항에 있어서, 제1 복합체는 제1 복합체와 제2 복합체의 총 합계 면 밀도의 60% 내지 75%를 구성하며, 제2 복합체는 제1 복합체와 제2 복합체의 총 합계 면 밀도의 25% 내지 40%를 구성하는 것인 방탄 재료.
- 제4항에 있어서, 제1 복합체를 형성하는 섬유 및 중합체 결합제는 둘 다 제2 복합체를 형성하는 섬유 및 중합체 결합제와 화학적으로 상이한 것인 방탄 재료.
- 다수의 부직 섬유상 플라이를 포함하는 제1 복합체로서, 상기 다수의 섬유상 플라이는 통합되며; 섬유상 플라이는 각각 중합체 결합제에 의해 코팅되어 있는 다수의 일방향 배향 섬유를 포함하며, 상기 섬유는 인성이 7 g/데니어 이상이고, 인장 계수가 150 g/데니어 이상이며; 여기서 제1 복합체의 각각의 섬유상 플라이에서 일방향 배향 섬유는 상기 제1 복합체의 각각의 인접 플라이의 종 섬유 방향에 대해 비평행 종 섬유 방향으로 배향되는 제1 복합체;

제1 복합체의 각 플라이에서 섬유의 종 섬유 방향은 제2 복합체의 각 플라이에서 섬유의 종 섬유 방향과 상이하고; 제1 복합체의 각 플라이에서 섬유의 종 섬유 방향은 제3 복합체의 각 플라이에서 섬유의 종 섬유 방향과 동일하거나 상이하며;
제1 복합체는 면 밀도가 적어도 100 g/㎡이고, 제2 복합체는 면 밀도가 적어도 100 g/㎡이며, 제3 복합체는 면 밀도가 적어도 100 g/㎡이고; 제1 복합체의 면 밀도는 제1 복합체, 제2 복합체 및 제3 복합체의 총 합계 면 밀도의 50%를 초과하는 방탄 재료. - 제8항에 있어서, 제1 복합체를 형성하는 섬유 및 중합체 결합제는 둘 다 제3 복합체를 형성하는 섬유 및 중합체 결합제와 화학적으로 동일하며;
제1 복합체를 형성하는 섬유 및 중합체 결합제는 둘 다 제2 복합체를 형성하는 섬유 및 중합체 결합제와 화학적으로 상이하고;
제1 복합체와 제2 복합체는 제1 복합체의 외부 플라이가 제2 복합체의 외부 플라이에 부착되도록 서로 부착되어 있고, 제1 복합체의 외부 플라이에서 섬유의 종 섬유 방향은 제2 복합체의 외부 플라이에서 섬유의 종 섬유 방향에 대해 22.5°/112.5°, 또는 45.0°/135.0°또는 67.5°/157.5°의 각도로 배향되어 있으며;

각 복합체의 각 섬유는 종 섬유 방향을 가지며, 제1 복합체의 각 층에서 섬유의 종 섬유 방향은 제2 복합체의 각 층에서 섬유의 종 섬유 방향과 상이하고;
제1 복합체는 면 밀도가 적어도 100 g/㎡이며, 제2 복합체는 면 밀도가 적어도 100 g/㎡이고, 제1 복합체의 면 밀도는 제1 복합체와 제2 복합체의 총 합계 면 밀도의 50%를 초과하는 방탄 재료. - 제1항에 있어서, 제1 복합체의 섬유상 플라이는 각각 다수의 일방향 배향 멀티필라멘트 섬유를 포함하며; 제2 복합체의 섬유상 플라이는 각각 다수의 일방향 배향 멀티필라멘트 섬유를 포함하고, 제2 복합체가 제1 복합체에 직접 부착되는 것인 방탄 재료.
- 제11항에 있어서, 상기 방탄재료의 복합체들 모두는 스티칭 또는 니들 펀칭 중 하나와, 접착제 결합 모두에 의해서 각각의 인접한 복합체에 직접 부착되는 것인 방탄 재료.
- 제11항에 있어서, 제1 복합체의 멀티필라멘트 섬유 및 제2 복합체의 멀티필라멘트 섬유는 방사 섬유를 포함하는 것인 방탄 재료.
