도 2는 도 1의 파우치형 전지의 결합 상태의 사시도이다;
도 3은 파우치형 전지가 내장되어 있는 종래기술의 전지팩의 사시도이다;
도 4는 도 3의 전지팩의 분리 사시도이다;
도 5는 본 발명의 하나의 실시예에 따른 전지팩의 사시도이다;
도 6은 도 5에 도시된 전지팩의 분해 사시도이다;
도 7 내지 도 11은 본 발명의 하나의 실시예에 따른 전지팩을 제조하는 공정을 나타내는 모식도들이다.
Claims (20)
- 밀봉 잉여부를 포함하는 일측면에 음극단자 및 양극단자가 형성되어 있고, 사각형 평면 구조로 형성된 판상형 전지셀(battery cell);
상기 전지셀의 전극단자들에 전기적으로 연결되어 있고, 전지팩의 작동을 제어하며, 상기 밀봉 잉여부 상에 탑재되는 보호회로 모듈(PCM); 및
열융용된 상태로 상기 밀봉 잉여부, PCM 및 양측 외주면에 인가된 후 고화되어 일체로 고정되는 팩 케이스로서, 상기 판상형 전지셀의 상면 및 하면이 개방된 상태로, 전지셀의 밀봉 잉여부, PCM 및 양측 외주면을 감싸는 구조의 팩 케이스(pack case); 를 포함하고
상기 팩 케이스의 소재는 상기 밀봉 잉여부, PCM 및 양측 외주면에 인가된 후 화학적 반응 또는 물리적 반응에 의해 고화되는 소재이며,
상기 판상형 전지셀은 파우치형 이차전지이고,
상기 전극단자는 외측 방향으로 연장되며, 상기 PCM은 상기 전극단자가 연장된 부분에서 용접에 의해 결합되어 있고, 상기 밀봉 잉여부 상에는 절연 테이프가 부착되어 상기 PCM을 상기 밀봉 잉여부 내측으로 절곡함으로써 상기 밀봉 잉여부의 절연 테이프 상에 수평 방향으로 결합된 상태로 상기 팩 케이스의 소재와 고화되어 일체로 고정되고,
상기 PCM의 양면 중 상기 전극단자가 결합되어 있는 면의 대향면은 상기 밀봉 잉여부와 대면하도록 형성되어 있으며,
상기 팩 케이스의 상단면에는 외부입출력 단자가 외부로 연장되어 돌출된 상태로 상기 팩 케이스의 소재와 고화되어 있고,
상기 팩 케이스는 전지셀의 상부면을 감싸는 변과 전지셀의 양측면을 감싸는 변들의 총 3 개의 변으로 이루어진 구조이고, 평면상으로 'ㄷ'자 형상으로 이루어진 것을 특징으로 하는 전지팩. - 삭제
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 파우치형 이차전지는 수지층과 금속층을 포함하는 라미네이트 시트에 전극조립체가 밀봉되어 있는 구조로 이루어진 것을 특징으로 하는 전지팩.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 전지셀은 리튬 이차전지인 것을 특징으로 하는 전지팩.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 팩 케이스의 두께는 전지셀의 두께와 동일하거나 10% 이하의 크기로 큰 것을 특징으로 하는 전지팩.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 PCM은 보호회로가 인쇄되어 있는 인쇄회로기판(PCB)인 것을 특징으로 하는 전지팩.
- 삭제
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 절연 테이프는 양면 테이프인 것을 특징으로 하는 전지팩.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 팩 케이스의 소재는 플라스틱 수지인 것을 특징으로 하는 전지팩.
- 제 9 항에 있어서, 상기 플라스틱 수지는 그것의 융점이 PCM에 위치하는 소자들의 변형을 유발하지 않는 온도 범위에 있는 열가소성 수지인 것을 특징으로 하는 전지팩.
- 삭제
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 팩 케이스는 전지셀의 하측 외주면을 더 감싸는 것을 특징으로 하는 전지팩.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 팩 케이스의 밀봉 잉여부와 대응되는 일측면에는, 내부에 수납한 PCM의 일부를 외부로 노출시키는 관통구가 형성되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 전지팩.
- 제 13 항에 있어서, 상기 PCM의 일부는 전지셀 기능검사부(test point)인 것을 특징으로 하는 전지팩.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 팩 케이스의 일측면에는, 상기 PCM으로부터 외부로 버스 바 또는 와이어가 도출될 수 있도록, 개구부가 형성되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 전지팩.
- 제 15 항에 있어서, 상기 개구부는 팩 케이스의 측면들 중 전지셀 밀봉 잉여부와 인접한 위치에 형성되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 전지팩.
- 제 1 항, 제 3 항 내지 제 6 항, 제 8 항 내지 제 10 항 및 제 12 항 내지 제 16 항 중 어느 하나에 따른 전지팩을 제조하는 방법으로서,
(a) 전지셀의 전극단자를 용접에 의해 PCM에 연결하는 단계;
(b) PCM을 전지셀의 밀봉 잉여부상에 탑재하는 단계;
(c) 전지셀을 금형에 장착하는 단계;
(d) 전지셀의 밀봉 잉여부, 보호회로 및 양측 외주면에 플라스틱 수지를 인가하는 단계; 및
(e) 전지셀을 금형으로부터 취출하는 단계;
를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 전지팩 제조 방법. - 제 17 항에 있어서, 용접은 스폿(spot) 용접인 것을 특징으로 하는 전지팩 제조 방법.
- 제 1 항, 제 3 항 내지 제 6 항, 제 8 항 내지 제 10 항 및 제 12 항 내지 제 16 항 중 어느 하나에 따른 전지팩을 전원으로 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 모바일 디바이스.
- 제 19 항에 있어서, 상기 모바일 디바이스는 노트북 컴퓨터, 넷북, 태블릿 PC 또는 스마트 패드인 것을 특징으로 하는 모바일 디바이스.
