Abstract
본 발명에 따르면, 파우치형 이차 전지의 실링부에 대한 특성 길이를 일정 범위로 제한함으로써 실링부가 차지하는 면적으로 인한 이차 전지의 용량 감소를 최대한 억제하면서도 이차 전지의 장기 사용에 따른 수분 침투 신뢰성을 향상시킬 수 있다.
Description
도 1과 도 2는 각각 종래의 파우치형 이차 전지에 대한 단면도 및 평면도이다.
도 3은 본 발명의 실시예에 따라 실링부의 특성 길이를 설명하기 위한 파우치형 이차 전지의 평면도이다.
도 4는 도 3의 I-I'선에 따른 단면도이다.
도 5는 본 발명의 실시예에 따라 3가지 온도 조건에서 파우치형 이차 전지의 사용 기간에 따른 수분 침투량 추정 결과를 나타낸 그래프이다.

Claims (6)
- 전극 리드가 부착된 전극 조립체; 및
상기 전극 리드의 일부가 외부로 노출되도록 상기 전극 조립체를 수납하며 가장자리를 따라 실링부가 형성된 파우치 포장재를 포함하고,
상기 실링부의 특성 길이(Characteristic length)가 10 내지 19mm2/mm인 것을 특징으로 하는 파우치형 이차 전지. - 제1항에 있어서,
80%의 상대 습도 및 25도 조건에서 하루 동안의 수분 침투량이 0.4566ppm/day 이하임을 특징으로 하는 파우치형 이차 전지. - 제1항에 있어서,
80%의 상대 습도 및 25도 조건에서 15년 동안 상기 실링부를 통한 수분 침투량이 2500ppm 이하이고 수분 침투에 의한 내부 저항의 상승률이 10% 이내임을 특징으로 하는 파우치형 이차 전지. - 제1항에 있어서,
상기 특성 길이는 상기 실링부의 '실링 단면의 면적/실링폭'을 실링부를 따라 적분한 값임을 특징으로 하는 파우치형 이차 전지. - 제1항에 있어서,
상기 파우치 포장재는 사각형의 형상이고,
상기 특성 길이는 상부 실링부, 하부 실링부, 우측 실링부 및 좌측 실링부의 특성 길이를 합산한 값임을 특징으로 하는 파우치형 이차 전지. - 제1항에 있어서,
상기 파우치 포장재의 열접착층은 변성 폴리올레핀 수지로 이루어진 것을 특징으로 하는 파우치형 이차 전지.
