Description
Claims (23)
- 분산 디지털 안테나 시스템에 있어서,제 1 신호를 전송된 디지털 광학 신호로 변환하고 수신된 디지털 광학 신호를 제 2 신호로 변환하는 호스트 유닛;상기 전송 및 수신된 디지털 광학 신호들을 운송하기 위해 상기 호스트 유닛에 커플된 광학 매체; 및각 원격 유닛이, 상기 전송된 디지털 광학 신호의 아날로그 표현을 전송하고 그리고 상기 각 원격 유닛에 의해 디지털 라디오 주파수 신호들로 변환되는 라디오 주파수 신호들을 수신하도록, 상기 광학 매체를 따라 데이지-체인 구성으로 연결된 다수의 원격 유닛들;을 포함하고,상기 각 원격 유닛은 상기 디지털 라디오 주파수 신호들을 상기 데이지-체인 구성으로 연결된 다수의 원격 유닛들중 다운스트림 원격 유닛으로부터의 해당하는 디지털 라디오 주파수 신호들에 합산하여, 다운스트림 원격 유닛으로부터의 모든 디지털 라디오 주파수 신호들의 합을 나타내는 합산신호를 생성하는 합산기를 포함하며,상기 합산신호는 상기 호스트 유닛으로의 전송을 위해 상기 수신된 디지털 광학 신호로 변환되는 것을 특징을 하는 시스템.
- 제 1항에 있어서, 상기 제 1 및 제 2 신호들은 제2 광학 매체, 전기 매체 또는 무선 매체를 통해 전송되는 것을 특징으로 하는 시스템.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 광학 매체는 광섬유인 것을 특징으로 하는 시스템.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 라디오 주파수 공중 인터페이스를 통해 가입자 유닛들과 통신하는 상기 호스트 유닛에 커플된, 기지국을 추가로 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하 는 시스템.
- 제 4 항에 있어서, 상기 기지국은 제 1 신호를 전송하고 제 2 신호를 수신하는 것을 특징으로 하는 시스템.
- 제 4 항에 있어서, 상기 기지국은 상기 호스트 유닛에서 공중 교환 전화망으로 통신하는 것을 특징으로 하는 시스템.
- 데이터망에 커플된 기지국과 신호들을 통신하는 분산 디지털 안테나 시스템에 있어서,상기 기지국에서의 라디오 주파수 신호들을 디지털 광학 신호들로 변환하고 상기 디지털 안테나 시스템에서의 디지털 광학 신호들을 상기 기지국에 의한 사용을 위해 라디오 주파수 신호들로 변환하는 호스트 유닛;상기 디지털 광학 신호들을 운송하는 상기 호스트 유닛에 커플된 광학 매체; 및각 원격 유닛이, 상기 기지국에서의 디지털 광학 신호들의 아날로그 표현에 따라 공중 인터페이스를 통해 라디오 주파수 신호들을 전송하고 그리고 수신 원격 유닛에 의해 디지털 라디오 주파수 신호들로 변환되는 라디오 주파수 신호들을 상기 공중 인터페이스를 통해 수신하도록, 상기 광학 매체를 따라 데이지-체인 구성으로 연결된 다수의 원격 유닛들;을 포함하고,상기 수신 원격 유닛을 포함하는 상기 각 원격 유닛은, 상기 디지털 라디오 주파수 신호들을 상기 데이지-체인 구성으로 연결된 다수의 원격 유닛들중 다운스트림 원격 유닛으로부터의 해당하는 수신된 디지털 라디오 주파수 신호들에 합산하여, 다운스트림 원격 유닛으로부터의 모든 디지털 라디오 주파수 신호들의 합을 나타내는 합산신호를 생성하는 합산기를 포함하며,상기 합산신호는 상기 호스트 유닛에 의한 사용을 위해 상기 디지털 광학 신호들로 변환되는 것을 특징을 하는 시스템.
- 제 7 항에 있어서, 상기 기지국과 상기 호스트 유닛 사이의 상기 라디오 주파수 신호들은 제2 광학 매체, 전기 매체 또는 무선 매체를 통해 운송되는 것을 특징으로 하는 시스템.
- 제 7 항에 있어서, 상기 광학 매체는 다중 파장들을 운송하는 광섬유인 것을 특징으로 하는 시스템.
- 제 7 항에 있어서, 상기 광학 매체는 상기 호스트 유닛에서 상기 다수의 원격 유닛들로 제 1 파장을 운송하는 제 1 광섬유 및 상기 다수의 원격 유닛들에서 상기 호스트 유닛으로 제 2 파장을 운송하는 제 2 광섬유인 것을 특징으로 하는 시스템.
- 제 10 항에 있어서, 상기 제 2 파장은 각각의 다수의 원격 유닛들에 의해 수신된 신호들의 합산을 나타내는 디지털 신호를 운송하는 것을 특징으로 하는 시스템.
- 제 7 항에 있어서, 다수의 각 원격 유닛은,상기 공중 인터페이스를 통해 상기 라디오 주파수 신호들을 통신하는 안테나;상기 원격 유닛에 입력되는 포워드 링크 디지털 광학 신호들을 포워드 링크 디지털 전기 신호들로 변환하고 그리고 상기 호스트 유닛으로의 출력을 위해 역 링크 디지털 전기 신호들을 역 링크 디지털 광학 신호들로 변환시키는 다수의 광학-전기 변환기들;상기 포워드 링크 디지털 전기 신호들을 아날로그 표현으로 변환하는 디지털-아날로그 변환기;상기 수신된 라디오 주파수 신호들을 상기 역 링크 디지털 전기 신호들로 변환하는 아날로그-디지털 변환기;를 포함하고,상기 합산기는 상기 역 링크 디지털 전기 신호들을 상기 광학 매체 데이지-체인 구성으로 연결된 다수의 원격 유닛들중 다운스트림 원격 유닛들로부터의 해당하는 역 링크 디지털 전기 신호들에 합산하여 합산신호를 생성하는 것을 특징으로 하는 시스템.
- 기지국과 신호들을 통신하는 분산 디지털 안테나 시스템에서의 원격 유닛에 있어서,공중 인터페이스 표준을 사용하여 라디오 주파수 신호들을 통신하는 안테나;상기 기지국에 커플된 적어도 하나의 호스트 유닛 및 업스트림 데이지-체인 구성으로 연결된 원격 유닛으로부터 수신된 포워드 링크 디지털 광학 신호들을 포워드 링크 디지털 전기 신호들로 변환하는 제1 광학-전기 변환기;라디오 주파수 신호들에 따른 안테나에 의한 송신을 위해 상기 포워드 링크 디지털 전기 신호들을 아날로그 신호들로 변환하는 디지털-아날로그 변환기;상기 안테나로부터 수신된 라디오 주파수 신호들을 제1 역 링크 디지털 전기 신호들로 변환하는 아날로그-디지털 변환기;다운스트림 데이지-체인 구성으로 연결된 원격 유닛으로부터 수신된 역 링크 디지털 광학 신호들을 제2 역 링크 디지털 전기 신호들로 변환하는 제2 광학-전기 변환기;상기 제1 역 링크 디지털 전기 신호들을 상기 제2 역 링크 디지털 전기 신호들과 합산하여 상기 제1 역 링크 디지털 전기 신호들과 상기 제2 역 링크 디지털 전기 신호들의 합을 나타내는 합산신호를 생성하는 합산기;및상기 적어도 하나의 호스트 유닛 및 업스트림 데이지-체인 구성으로 연결된 원격 유닛으로의 전달을 위해 디지털 전기 신호로부터의 상기 합산신호를 역 링크 디지털 광학 신호로 변환하는 제2 광학-전기 변환기를 포함하는 원격 유닛.
- 제 13 항에 있어서,상기 적어도 하나의 호스트 유닛 및 상기 업스트림 데이지-체인 구성으로 연결된 원격 유닛에 커플된 제 1 광학 포트; 및상기 다운스트림 데이지-체인 구성으로 연결된 원격 유닛에 커플된 제 2 광학 포트;를 추가로 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 원격 유닛.

- 기지국과 신호들을 통신하는 분산 디지털 안테나 시스템에서의 원격 유닛에 있어서,공중 인터페이스 표준을 사용하여 라디오 주파수 신호들을 통신하는 안테나;상기 기지국 및 업스트림 원격 유닛들의 데이지-체인에 커플된 호스트 유닛으로부터의 디지털 광학 신호들을 포워드 링크 디지털 전기 신호들로 변환하고, 역 링크 디지털 전기 신호들을 파장을 포함하는 각 디지털 광학 신호들로 추가로 변환하는 제1 다수의 광학-전기 변환기들;라디오 주파수 신호들에 따른 안테나에 의한 송신을 위해 상기 포워드 링크 디지털 전기 신호들을 아날로그 신호들로 변환하는 디지털-아날로그 변환기;상기 안테나로부터의 라디오 주파수 신호들을 제1 역 링크 디지털 전기 신호들로 변환하는 아날로그-디지털 변환기;다운스트림 데이지-체인 구성으로 연결된 원격 유닛으로부터 수신된 역 링크 디지털 광학 신호들을 제2 역 링크 디지털 전기 신호들로 변환하는 제2 다수의 광학-전기 변환기들; 및상기 제1 역 링크 디지털 전기 신호들을 상기 제2 역 링크 디지털 전기 신호들과 합산하여 상기 제1 역 링크 디지털 전기 신호들과 상기 제2 역 링크 디지털 전기 신호들의 합을 나타내는 합산신호를 생성하는 합산기를 포함하되,상기 제1 복수의 광학-전기 변환기들은 상기 제2 역 링크 디지털 전기 신호들을 역 링크 광학 신호로 변환하고,다수의 파장들을 포함하는, 입력 디지털 광학 신호를 다수의 파장들에서 각 하나의 파장을 갖는 디지털 광학 신호들로 디멀티플렉싱하고 디지털 광학 신호들을 다수의 파장들을 포함하는 출력 디지털 광학 신호로 추가로 멀티플렉싱하는 파장 분배 멀티플렉서;를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 원격 유닛.
- 분산 디지털 안테나 시스템을 통한 통신 방법에 있어서,기지국으로부터 제 1 라디오 주파수 신호를 포워드 링크 디지털 광학 신호로 변환하는 단계;제1 광학 매체를 통해 상기 포워드 링크 디지털 광학 신호를 상기 제1 광학 매체에 따른 데이지-체인 구성으로 배열된 다수의 원격 유닛들로 전송하는 단계;각 원격 유닛에서 상기 포워드 링크 디지털 광학 신호를 포워드 링크 디지털 전기 신호로 변환하는 단계;제 2 라디오 주파수 신호에 따라 적어도 하나의 원격 유닛에 의한 전송을 위해 상기 포워드 링크 디지털 전기 신호를 아날로그 신호로 변환하는 단계;상기 원격 유닛들 중 제1 원격 유닛의 공중 인터페이스를 통해 제3 라디오 주파수 신호를 수신하는 단계;상기 제3 라디오 주파수 신호를 제1 역 링크 디지털 전기 신호로 변환하는 단계;상기 다수의 원격 유닛들에서 다운스트림 원격 유닛으로부터 제1 역 링크 디지털 광학 신호를 수신하는 단계;상기 제1 역 링크 디지털 광학 신호를 제2 역 링크 디지털 전기 신호로 변환하는 단계; 및상기 제1 역 링크 디지털 전기 신호를 상기 제2 역 링크 디지털 전기 신호와 합산하여 상기 제1 역 링크 디지털 전기 신호와 상기 제2 역 링크 디지털 전기 신호의 합을 나타내는 합산신호를 생성하는 단계를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제 17 항에 있어서,디지털 전기 신호로부터의 상기 합산신호를 제2 역 링크 디지털 광학 신호로변환하는 단계;상기 제1 광학 매체 및 제2 광학 매체 중 적어도 하나를 통해 상기 제2 역 링크 디지털 광학 신호를 전송하는 단계; 및상기 기지국에 의한 사용을 위해 상기 제2 역 링크 디지털 광학 신호를 제 4 라디오 주파수 신호로 변환하는 단계;를 추가로 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제 17 항에 있어서, 적어도 하나의 디지털 광학 신호를 각 하나의 파장을 갖는 다수의 광학 신호들로 디멀티플렉싱하는 단계를 추가로 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
