Claims (9)
- 액정층과,상기 액정층의 관찰자측에 배치된 제1 기판과,상기 액정층을 개재하여 상기 제1 기판에 대향하도록 배치된 제2 기판과,상기 액정층과 상기 제2 기판 사이에 형성된 경면 반사층과,상기 액정층에 전압을 인가하는 한 쌍의 전극과,상기 제1 기판의 관찰자측에 배치된 편광층과,상기 액정층과 상기 편광층 사이에 배치된 위상차층과,상기 편광층의 관찰자측에 형성된 광 산란층이며, 광 산란성을 갖는 거시적인 요철 구조와, 상기 거시적인 요철 구조에 중첩적으로 형성된 가시광의 파장보다도 작은 미시적인 요철 구조를 갖는 산란성 표면을 구비하는 광 산란층을 가지며,상기 광 산란층과 상기 액정층의 거리는 화소 피치의 3배 이하인, 액정 표시 장치.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 미시적인 요철 구조에 있어서의 인접하는 볼록부 사이 또는 오목부 사이의 거리는 100㎚ 이상 200㎚ 미만의 범위 내에 있는, 액정 표시 장치.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 거시적인 요철 구조에 있어서의 볼록부 사이 또는 오목부 사이의 거리는 5㎛ 이상 50㎛ 이하인, 액정 표시 장치.
- 제3항에 있어서, 상기 거시적인 요철 구조는 피치가 20㎛ 이하의 주기적 구조를 갖는, 액정 표시 장치.
- 제1항 내지 제4항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 상기 광 산란층의 헤이즈율은 50% 이상인, 액정 표시 장치.
- 삭제
- 제1항 내지 제4항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 상기 광 산란층을 상기 제1 기판의 법선 방향에서 보았을 때, 상기 거시적인 요철 구조가 갖는 볼록부 또는 오목부의 형상은 장축 및 단축을 갖는 비대칭인 형상이며, 상기 장축이 상기 편광층의 투과축에 대하여 소정의 방향으로 배치되어 있는, 액정 표시 장치.
- 제1항 내지 제4항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 상기 광 산란층의 상기 산란성 표면은 공기와 접촉하고 있는, 액정 표시 장치.
- 제1항 내지 제4항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 상기 광 산란층의 상기 산란성 표면의 관찰자측에 형성된 보호층을 더 갖고, 상기 보호층의 굴절률은 상기 광 산란층의 굴절률보다도 작은, 액정 표시 장치.
