Description
Claims (13)
- 실리콘 기판;상기 기판의 상부면에 증착되는 실리카 클래딩층;상기 하부 클래딩층의 상부면에 빔이 도파할 수 있는 광 도파로인 실리콘 코어층;상기 코어층를 통하여 입사되는 빔을 수직으로 결합시키는 격자 영역을 포함하는 폴리머 코어층;으로 이루어지는 폴리머 집광 도파로 격자 커플러.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 격자 영역은 폴리머 코어층의 상부면에 소정의 주기를 갖는 다수의 격자로 형성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 폴리머 집광 도파로 격자 커플러.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 실리콘 코어층의 일측을 테이퍼진 형상으로 단면적을 감소시켜 모드 어댑터를 형성하고, 상기 격자 영역에 빔을 결합시키는 것을 특징으로 하는 폴리머 집광 도파로 격자 커플러.
- 제1항에 있어서,광이 도파되기 위하여 상기 실리콘 코어층 및 폴리머 코어층의 굴절율은 상기 클래딩층의 굴절율보다 큰 것을 특징으로 하는 폴리머 집광 도파로 격자 커플러.
- 실리콘 기판;상기 기판의 상부면에 증착되는 실리카 하부 클래딩층;상기 하부 클래딩층의 상부면에 빔이 도파할 수 있는 광 도파로인 실리콘 코어층;하부면에 폴리머 코어층을 형성시켜 상기 코어층를 통하여 입사되는 빔을 수직으로 결합시키는 격자 영역을 포함하는 폴리머 상부 클래딩층;으로 이루어지는 폴리머 집광 도파로 격자 커플러.
- 제5항에 있어서,광이 도파되기 위하여 상기 실리콘 코어층 및 폴리머 코어층의 굴절율은 상기 클래딩층의 굴절율보다 큰 것을 특징으로 하는 폴리머 집광 도파로 격자 커플 러.
- 제5항에 있어서,상기 격자 영역은 폴리머 코어층의 상부면에 소정의 주기를 갖는 다수의 격자로 형성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 폴리머 집광 도파로 격자 커플러.
- 제5항에 있어서,상기 실리콘 코어층의 일측을 테이퍼진 형상으로 단면적을 감소시켜 모드 어댑터를 형성하고, 상기 격자 영역에 빔을 결합시키는 것을 특징으로 하는 폴리머 집광 도파로 격자 커플러.
- 제5항에 있어서,상기 실리콘 코어층의 일측을 부채꼴 형상으로 단면적을 증가시켜 자유도파영역을 형성하고, 상기 격자 영역에 빔을 균일하게 결합시키는 것을 특징으로 하는 폴리머 집광 도파로 격자 커플러.
- 드라이버 IC의 전기신호를 광신호로 변환하는 광 발신기;상기 광신호를 전기신호로 변환하여 수신기 IC로 전송하는 광 수신기; 및PCB의 상부면에 빔을 도파할 수 있도록 형성되는 광 도파로인 폴리머 코어층과, 상기 폴리머 코어층을 감싸도록 형성되되, 상기 폴리머 코어층을 통하여 입사되는 빔을 수직으로 결합시키는 격자 영역을 포함하는 폴리머 클래딩층으로 이루어져, 상기 광 발신기로부터 광 수신기로 빔을 수직 결합시키는 폴리머 집광 도파로 격자 커플러;를 포함하는 광 PCB.
- 제10항에 있어서,상기 격자 영역은 폴리머 클래딩층의 상부면에 소정의 주기를 갖는 다수의 격자로 형성되되, 일정 방향으로 테이퍼진 형상인 것을 특징으로 하는 광 PCB.
- 드라이버 IC의 전기신호를 광신호로 변환하는 광 발신기;상기 광신호를 전기신호로 변환하여 수신기 IC로 전송하는 광 수신기; 및PCB의 상부면에 빔을 도파할 수 있도록 형성되는 광 도파로인 폴리머 코어층과, 상기 폴리머 코어층의 상부면에 상기 폴리머 코어층을 통하여 입사되는 빔을 수직으로 결합되도록 형성되는 격자 영역으로 이루어지는 폴리머 집광 도파로 격자 커플러;를 포함하는 광 PCB.
- 제12항에 있어서,상기 격자 영역은 폴리머 코어층의 상부면에 소정의 주기를 갖는 다수의 격자로 형성되되, 일정 방향으로 테이퍼진 형상인 것을 특징으로 하는 광 PCB.
