Abstract

본 발명은, TSID 검출 방법에 관한 것이다.
본 발명은, 채널 별 프로그램에 대한 전송 주파수 정보를 수신하는 단계와, 상기 수신한 전송 주파수 정보에 따라 상기 채널 별 프로그램의 전송 주파수를 업데이트(Update)하는 단계와, 상기 업데이트된 전송 주파수에 따라 채널 맵(Map)을 갱신하는 단계와, 특정 프로그램에 대한 선택 신호를 입력받았는지 여부를 판단하는 단계 및 상기 판단 결과 선택 신호를 입력받았다고 판단되는 경우에 상기 특정 프로그램의 전송 주파수로부터 전송 스트림 식별자(Transport Stream Identifier; 이하 'TSID')를 검출하는 단계를 포함하여 이루어지는 TSID 검출 방법을 제공한다.
따라서, 본 발명에 의하면, 전송 주파수가 변경된 경우라도 TSID를 효율적으로 검출할 수 있다.

ＴＳＩＤ 검출 방법{Method for Detecting Transport Stream Identifier}
도 1은 종래 발명에 따른 TSID 검출 방법을 나타낸 흐름도.
도 2는 본 발명에 따른 TSID 검출 방법의 일 실시예 흐름도.
도 3은 본 발명에 따른 채널 타입 디스크립터(Channel Type Descriptor)의 예시도.
도 4는 본 발명에 따른 프로그램 연관 테이블(Program Association Table)의 구조도.
도 5는 본 발명에 따른 TSID 검출 방법의 다른 일 실시예 블럭 구성도.
본 발명은 TSID 검출 방법에 관한 것이다.
도 1을 참조하여, 종래 발명에 따른 TSID 검출 방법을 설명하면 다음과 같다.
채널 별 프로그램에 대한 선택 신호를 입력받은 경우에, 상기 프로그램을 전송하는 채널 주파수를 튜닝한다(S110).
상기 튜닝 결과에 따른 상기 채널 주파수로부터 프로그램 연관 테이블 (Program Association Table; 이하 'PAT')을 파싱한다(S120).
상기 파싱된 PAT를 이용하여, 프로그램 맵 테이블(Program Map Table; 이하 'PMT')을 파싱한다(S130).
상기 파싱된 PAT는 TSID에 대한 정보를 가지고 있으므로, 상기 PAT를 이용하여, 상기 채널 주파수에 할당된 TSID를 검출한다(S140).
또한, TSID 검출 장치는, 미리 채널 별 프로그램의 전송 주파수를 하드 코딩(Hard Coding)하여 저장하므로, 부팅 신호를 입력받은 경우에, 상기 프로그램에 할당된 전송 주파수를 스캐닝하여 TSID를 검출한다.
그러나, 상술한 종래 발명에 의하면, 전송 주파수가 변경되면, 그 전송 주파수의 TSID를 검출할 수 없게 되어 주문형 비디오(Video On Demand; 이하 'VOD')서비스를 받을 수 없다.
또한, 상술한 종래 발명에 의하면, 전송 주파수 대역 내에 PMT가 존재할 경우에, TSID를 검출하는데 많은 시간이 소비된다.
본 발명은 상기와 같은 문제점을 해결하기 위한 것으로서, 채널 별 프로그램에 대한 전송 주파수를 업데이트함으로서, 전송 주파수가 변경된 경우에 상기 TSID를 검출할 수 있는 방법을 제공하는데 그 목적이 있다.
또한, 본 발명은 상기와 같은 문제점을 해결하기 위한 것으로서, PMT 파싱 과정을 생략함으로서, TSID를 신속하게 검출할 수 있는 방법을 제공하는데 다른 목적이 있다.
또한, 본 발명은 상기와 같은 문제점을 해결하기 위한 것으로서, 프로그램 관리 서버로부터 TSID를 직접 수신할 수 있는 방법을 제공하는데 또 다른 목적이 있다.
상기의 목적을 달성하기 위하여, 본 발명에 따른 전송 스트림 식별자(Transport Stream Identifier; 이하 'TSID')검출 방법은, 채널 별 프로그램에 대한 전송 주파수 정보를 수신하는 단계와, 상기 수신한 전송 주파수 정보에 따라 상기 채널 별 프로그램의 전송 주파수를 업데이트(Update)하는 단계와, 상기 업데이트된 전송 주파수에 따라 채널 맵(Map)을 갱신하는 단계와, 특정 프로그램에 대한 선택 신호를 입력받았는지 여부를 판단하는 단계 및 상기 판단 결과 선택 신호를 입력받았다고 판단되는 경우에 상기 특정 프로그램의 전송 주파수로부터 TSID를 검출하는 단계를 포함하여 이루어진다.
또한, 상기의 목적을 달성하기 위하여, 본 발명에 따른 TSID 검출 방법은, 인터넷 프로토콜(Internet Protocol; 이하 'IP')주소와 매체 접근 제어 계층(Media Access Control; 이하 'MAC')주소 중에서 적어도 하나를 프로그램 관리 서버에 송신하는 단계 및 상기 프로그램 관리 서버로부터 상기 IP 주소와 MAC 주소 중에서 적어도 하나에 할당된 TSID를 수신하는 단계를 포함하여 이루어진다.
상술한 목적, 특징들 및 장점은 첨부된 도면과 관련한 다음의 상세한 설명을 통하여 보다 분명해 질 것이다. 이하 첨부된 도면을 참조하여 본 발명에 따른 바람직한 일실시예를 상세히 설명한다.
도 2는 본 발명에 따른 TSID 검출 방법의 일 실시예에 해당한다.
채널별 프로그램에 대한 전송 주파수 정보를 수신한다(S210).
예를 들어, 상기 수신 단계는, 주문형 비디오(Video On Demand; 이하 'VOD')서비스를 제공하는 프로그램 관리 서버로부터, 상기 채널 별 프로그램에 대한 전송 주파수 정보를 수신할 수 있다. 상기 전송 주파수는, 채널 별로 할당되어 있거나 프로그램 별로 할당되어 있을 수 있다.
또한, 상기 전송 주파수 정보는 이하 설명되는 채널 타입 디스크립터(Channel Type Descriptor)를 이용하여 알 수 있다. 따라서, 상기 수신 단계는, 상기 채널 타입 디스크립터를 수신하여 이를 이용함에 따라 상기 전송 주파수 정보를 수신할 수 있다.
상기 수신한 전송 주파수 정보에 따라, 상기 채널 별 프로그램의 전송 주파수를 업데이트(Update)한다(S220).
예를 들어, 상기 업데이트 단계는, 상기 수신한 전송 주파수 정보에 따라, 기존에 저장된 채널 별 프로그램의 전송 주파수를 업데이트할 수 있다.
또한, 상기 업데이트 단계는, 사용자에 의해 업데이트 요청이 있는 경우에 한해 이루어질 수 있다. 또는, 상기 업데이트 단계는, 미리 설정된 일정 주기에 따라 이루어질 수도 있다.
상기 업데이트된 전송 주파수에 따라, 채널 맵(Map)을 갱신한다(S230).
예를 들어, 상기 채널 맵은, 상기 채널 별 프로그램에 해당하는 전송 주파수 정보를 모두 저장하고 있을 수 있다.
특정 프로그램에 대한 선택 신호를 입력받았는지 여부를 판단한다(S240).
예를 들어, 상기 선택 신호는, 주문형 비디오(Video On Demand; 이하 'VOD')서비스를 이용하기 위하여, 상기 특정 프로그램을 선택하는 신호를 의미할 수 있다.
상기 판단 결과 선택 신호를 입력받지 않았다고 판단되는 경우에, 특정 프로그램에 대한 선택 신호를 입력받을 때 까지 대기한다(S250).
상기 대기 시간 동안 상기 특정 프로그램에 대한 선택 신호를 입력받는다(S260).
또는, 상기 판단 결과 선택 신호를 입력받았다고 판단되는 경우에, 상기 특정 프로그램의 전송 주파수로부터 TSID를 검출한다(S270).
또한, 상기 대기 시간 동안 선택 신호를 입력받은 경우에도, 상기 특정 프로그램의 전송 주파수로부터 TSID를 검출할 수 있다(S270).
도 3은 본 발명에 따른 채널 타입 디스크립터의 신택스 구조에 대한 일 실시예이다.
descriptor_tag 필드는 이 디스크립터가 채널 타입 디스크립터임을 식별할 수 있는 디스크립터 식별자를 나타내며, channel_type 필드는 이 디스크립터에 해당하는 가상 채널이 일반 A/V 방송을 위한 채널인지, VOD를 위한 채널인지를 나타낸다.
예를 들어, 상기 전송 주파수는, 상기 채널 타입 디스크립터를 이용하여 검출할 수 있다. 또한, 상기 전송 주파수로부터 상기 PAT를 파싱할 수 있다.

도 4의 PAT의 신택스 구조에 대한 일 실시예를 참조하여 설명하면, transport_stream_id 필드가 상기 PAT에 정의되어 있다.
따라서, 상기 TSID는 상기 PAT로부터 상기 TSID를 검출할 수 있다.
도 5는 본 발명에 따른 TSID 검출 방법의 다른 실시예의 블럭 구성이다.
TSID 검출 장치(510)는, IP 주소와 MAC 주소 중에서 적어도 하나를 프로그램 관리 서버(520)로 송신한다.
예를 들어, 상기 프로그램 관리 서버(520)는, VOD 서비스 관리 서버일 수 있다.
또한, 상기 프로그램 관리 서버(520)는, 케이블 모뎀 종단 시스템(Cable Modem Termination System; 이하 'CMTS')(530)로 상기 수신한 IP 주소와 MAC 주소를 송신할 수 있다.
또한, 상기 CMTS(530)는, 프로그램 및 시스템 정보 생성부(Program and System Information Generator; 이하 'PSIG')(540)로 상기 수신한 IP 주소와 MAC 주소를 송신할 수 있다.
예를 들어, 상기 PSIG(540)는, 전송 주파수 별 TSID 정보 및 IP 주소와 MAC 주소 별 TSID 정보를 저장하는 TSID 데이터 베이스(545)를 포함할 수 있다.
상기 TSID 검출 장치(510)는, 상기 프로그램 관리 서버(520)로부터 상기 IP 주소 또는 MAC 주소 별로 저장된 TSID를 수신한다.
예를 들어, 상기 TSID 검출 장치(510)는, 상기 CMTS(530) 및 상기 프로그램 관리 서버(520)을 통하여, 상기 PSIG(540)에서 생성된 TSID를 수신할 수 있다.
따라서 도5를 통해 TSID 검출장치를 이용하여 송신측으로 식별 정보를 전송하도록 함으로써, 송신측에서 해당 수신기에서 사용 가능한 TSID를 획득하여 VOD 콘텐츠를 전송하도록 하고 있음을 알 수 있다.
이상에서 설명한 본 발명은, 본 발명에 속하는 기술분야에서 통상의 지식을 가진 자에 있어, 본 발명의 기술적 사상을 벗어나지 않는 범위 내에서 여러 가지 치환, 변형 및 변경이 가능하므로, 전술한 실시예 및 첨부된 도면에 의해 한정되는 것이 아니다.
상기에서 설명한 본 발명에 의하면, 채널 별 프로그램에 대한 전송 주파수를 업데이트함으로서, 전송 주파수가 변경된 경우라도 상기 TSID를 검출할 수 있다.
또한, 상기에서 설명한 본 발명에 의하면, PMT 파싱 과정을 생략함으로서, 신속하게 TSID를 검출할 수 있다.
또한, 상기에서 설명한 본 발명에 의하면, 프로그램 관리 서버로부터 TSID를 직접 수신함으로서, 신속하게 TSID를 얻을 수 있다.

Claims (6)

  1. 채널 별 프로그램에 대한 전송 주파수 정보를 수신하는 단계;
    상기 수신한 전송 주파수 정보에 따라, 채널별 프로그램의 전송 주파수 정보를 업데이트(Update)하는 단계;
    상기 업데이트된 전송 주파수에 따라, 채널 맵(Map)을 갱신하는 단계;
    특정 프로그램에 대한 선택 신호가 입력되었는지 판단하는 단계; 및
    상기 판단 결과 선택 신호가 입력된 경우에는 상기 업데이트된 특정 프로그램의 전송 주파수로부터 전송 스트림 식별자(Transport Stream Identifier; 이하 'TSID')를 검출하는 단계를 포함하여 이루어지는 TSID 검출 방법.
  2. 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 소정 프로그램에 대한 선택 신호가 입력되었는지 판단하는 단계 이후에,
    상기 판단 결과 선택 신호가 입력되지 않은 경우, 특정 프로그램에 대한 선택 신호가 입력될 때까지 대기하는 단계; 및
    상기 대기 시간 동안 상기 특정 프로그램에 대한 선택 신호를 입력받는 단계를 더 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 TSID 검출 방법.
  3. 제 1 항에 있어서,
    상기 전송 주파수 정보는 채널 타입 디스크립터(Channel Type Descriptor)에 정의되는 것을 특징으로 하는 TSID 검출 방법.
  4. 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 검출 단계는,
    상기 전송 주파수로부터 프로그램 연관 테이블(Program Association Table; 이하 'PAT')을 파싱함에 따라, 상기 PAT로부터 상기 TSID를 검출하는 것을 특징으로 하는 TSID 검출 방법.
  5. 셋톱 박스를 식별하는 주소 정보를 프로그램 관리 서버에 송신하는 단계;
    상기 프로그램 관리 서버는 상기 송신된 식별 주소 정보별로 TSID를 획득하는 단계;
    상기 프로그램 관리 서버로부터 상기 식별 주소별로 획득된 TSID를 상기 송신한 식별 주소로 수신받는 단계를 포함하여 이루어지는 것을 특징으로 하는 TSID 검출 방법.
  6. 제 5항에 있어서,
    상기 셋톱 박스를 식별하는 주소 정보는 IP 주소 또는 MAC 주소 중 적어도 하나인 것을 특징으로 하는 TSID 검출 방법.
