Claims (25)
- 제 1 절연기판의 상부에 형성된 서브컬러필터 및 블랙매트릭스와, 상기 서브컬러필터 및 블랙매트릭스 상부를 덮어 평탄화시키는 제 1 평탄화막과, 상기 제 1 평탄화막의 상부에 형성되어 한쪽에서 액정층에 전압을 인가하는 공통전극과, 엠보싱 형상의 표면을 갖는 제 1 배향막을 구비하는 제 1 기판;상기 제 1 기판에 대향되게 배치된 제 2 기판으로서, 제 2 절연기판의 상부에 형성된 스위칭소자와, 상기 스위칭소자와 연결되어 다른 한쪽에서 상기 액정층에 전압을 인가하는 화소전극과, 상기 스위칭소자와 화소전극을 덮어 평탄화시키는 제 2 평탄화막과, 엠보싱 형상의 표면을 갖는 제 2 배향막을 구비하는 제 2 기판; 및상기 제 1 기판과 제 2 기판의 가장자리에 구비되는 실란트에 의해 상기 제 1 기판과 제 2 기판 사이에 봉인된 액정층;을 포함하며,상기 제 1 배향막과 제 2 배향막은 그 가장자리에서 상기 액정층을 봉인하기 위한 실란트와 오버랩되지 않도록 상기 실란트 형성 영역 이전 까지만 형성된 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시소자.

- 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 제 1 기판의 블랙매트릭스는 도전성 물질로 형성된 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시소자.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 블랙매트릭스는 엠보싱 형상의 표면을 갖는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시소자.
- 제 1 항 또는 제 8 항에 있어서, 상기 엠보싱 형상은 엠보싱의 오목한 부위의 꼭지점과 볼록한 부위의 꼭지점 간의 높이 차가 적어도 1㎛ 인 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시소자.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 제 2 평탄화막은 상기 제 2 배향막과의 계면에 엠보 싱 형상을 구비하는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시소자.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 제 1 배향막, 상기 제 1 평탄화막 및 상기 공통전극의 두께 합이 700Å 이하의 얇은 두께인 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시소자.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 제 2 배향막, 상기 제 2 평탄화막 및 상기 화소전극의 두께 합이 700Å 이하의 얇은 두께인 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시소자.
- 제 1 절연기판의 상부에 서브컬러필터 및 블랙매트릭스를 형성하는 단계;상기 서브컬러필터 및 블랙매트릭스 상부에 제 1 평탄화막을 형성하는 단계;상기 제 1 평탄화막의 상부에 한쪽에서 액정층에 전압을 인가하기 위한 공통전극을 형성하는 단계;상기 공통전극 상부에 실란트와 오버랩되지 않도록 상기 실란트 형성 영역 이전까지 엠보싱 형상의 표면을 갖는 제 1 배향막을 형성하는 단계;상기 제 1 절연기판에 대향되게 배치된 제 2 절연기판의 상부에 스위칭소자를 형성하는 단계;상기 스위칭소자와 연결되어 다른 한쪽에서 액정층에 전압을 인가하기 위한 화소전극을 형성하는 단계;상기 스위칭소자와 화소전극의 상부에 제 2 평탄화막을 형성하는 단계;상기 제 2 평탄화막 상부에 실란트와 오버랩되지 않도록 상기 실란트 형성 영역 이전까지 엠보싱 형상의 표면을 갖는 제 2 배향막을 형성하는 단계; 및상기 제 1 절연기판과 제 2 절연기판 사이에 상기 제 1 절연기판과 제 2 절연기판의 가장자리에 구비되는 실란트를 봉지제로 이용해서 액정층을 주입하는 단계;를 포함하여 구성된 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시소자의 제조방법.
- 제 13 항에 있어서, 상기 제 1 및 제 2 배향막을 형성하기 전에 자외선을 이용한 세정공정을 수행하는 단계를 추가로 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시소자의 제조방법.
- 제 13 항에 있어서, 상기 제 1 및 제 2 배향막의 러빙 후에 전기적 세정공정을 수행하는 단계를 추가로 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시소자의 제조방법.

- 제 13 항에 있어서, 상기 제 1 및 제 2 배향막은 도전성 물질로 형성된 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시소자의 제조방법.

- 제 13 항에 있어서, 상기 블랙매트릭스는 엠보싱 형상의 표면을 갖는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시소자의 제조방법.
- 제 13 항 또는 제 21 항에 있어서, 상기 엠보싱 형상은 엠보싱의 오목한 부위의 꼭지점과 볼록한 부위의 꼭지점 간의 높이 차가 적어도 1㎛ 인 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시방법.
