Abstract
Description
하나의 프레임동안 각각 제1 색, 제2 색 및 제3 색의 광을 방출하는 제1 백라이트, 제2 백라이트, 제3 백라이트를 구비하며, 상기 백라이트가 해당하는 서브 프레임에서 순차 구동되어 서로 다른 색의 광을 방출하도록 하는 백라이트 구동 회로로서,
상기 제1, 제2, 제3 백라이트에 각각 서로 다른 구동 전류를 순차적으로 제공하여 각 백라이트가 소정의 휘도를 갖는 광을 방출하도록 하는 구동 전류 발생부; 및
상기 제1, 제2, 제3 백라이트에 각각 서로 다른 PWM 신호를 순차적으로 제공하여 각 백라이트에서 방출되는 광의 색도를 조절하는 PWM 발생부를 포함한다.
그리고, 상기 제1 내지 제3 백라이트 중 어느 하나 이상은 둘 이상의 발광 다이오드로 이루어지며, 동일한 백라이트를 이루는 둘 이상의 발광 다이오드에는 동일한 구동전류가 상기 구동 전류 발생부로부터 제공되고 동일한 PWM 신호가 상기 PWM 발생부로부터 제공되는 것을 특징으로 한다.
Claims (8)
- 하나의 프레임동안 각각 제1 색, 제2 색 및 제3 색의 광을 방출하는 제1 백라이트, 제2 백라이트, 제3 백라이트를 구비하며, 상기 백라이트가 해당하는 서브 프레임에서 순차 구동되어 서로 다른 색의 광을 방출하도록 하는 백라이트 구동 회로에 있어서,상기 제1, 제2, 제3 백라이트에 각각 서로 다른 구동 전류를 순차적으로 제공하여 각 백라이트가 소정의 휘도를 갖는 광을 방출하도록 하는 구동 전류 발생부; 및상기 제1, 제2, 제3 백라이트에 각각 서로 다른 PWM 신호를 순차적으로 제공하여 각 백라이트에서 방출되는 광의 색도를 조절하는 PWM 발생부를 포함하며,상기 제1 내지 제3 백라이트 중 어느 하나 이상은 둘 이상의 발광 다이오드로 이루어지며,동일한 백라이트를 이루는 둘 이상의 발광 다이오드에는 동일한 구동전류가 상기 구동 전류 발생부로부터 제공되고 동일한 PWM 신호가 상기 PWM 발생부로부터 제공되는 것을 특징으로 하는 백라이트 구동 회로.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 제1 색, 제2 색, 제3 색은 각각 레드, 그린, 블루인 것을 특징으로 하는 백라이트 구동회로.
