Claims (10)
- 제1 기판(3)과 제2 기판(2)사이에 포함된 트위스트 네마틱 액정층(1)을 포함하는 광전자 셀로서, 상기 기판들은 각각 편광자막(4)과 분광자막(5) 사이에서 협지되고, 상기 막들은 교차되고 상기 편광자막 및 분광자막(4, 5)의 전송 방향(11, 13)은 가장 인접한 액정 분자들의 방향(12, 14)과 80° 내지 100° 의 각도로 교차되는, 상기 광전자 셀에 있어서,상기 셀은 이축 굴절률 이방성을 갖는 하나 이상의 부가적인 복굴절막(6)을 포함하고, 상기 부가적인 복굴절막은 최대 굴절율이 편광자(4) 및/또는 이에 인접한 분광자(5)의 방향애 평행한 방향(15)에 있도록 위치설정되고, 상기 굴절률(nx. ny, nz)은 다음식을 만족하고 nz는 상기 부가적인 복굴절막에 수직 방향에 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 광전자 셀.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 편광자(4)와 상기 제 1 기판(3) 사이에 위치한 부가적인 복굴절막(6)을포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 광전자 셀.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 분광자(5)와 상기 제 2 기판(2) 사이에 위치한 부가적인 복굴절막(6)을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 광전자 셀.
- 제 1 항에 있어서 ,하나는 상기 편광자(4)와 상기 제 1 기판(3) 사이에 위치하고, 나머지는 상기 분광자(5)와 상기 제 2 기판(2) 사이에 위치하는 2개의 복굴절막(6)을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 광전자 셀.
- 제 1 항 내지 제 4 항중 어느 한 항에 있어서,부가적인 보상막 또는 막들(6.7)의 최대 굴절률에 대응하는 특별한 굴절률(no)의 방향(15, 16)은 상기 가장 인접한 액정 분자들의 방향(12, 14)과 70°내지 110°의 각으로 교차되는 것을 특징으로 하는 광전자 셀.
- 제 1 항 내지 제 4 항중 어느 한 항에 있어서.상기 특별한 굴절률(ne)과 상기 정상 굴절률(no) 사이의 지연 △n = (ne-no)d 이 50 내지 300nm 사이에 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 광전자 셀.
- 제 1 항 내지 제 4항중 어느 한 항에 있어서,이축비 r = (nz- no)/(ne- no)는 -3과 0사이에 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 광전자 셀.
- 제 1 항 내지 제 4 항중 어느 한 항에 있어서.상기 액정(1)은 분자들의 전체 트위스트는 80° 와 100° 사이에 있는 트위스트 네마틱형인 것을 특징으로 하는 광전자 셀.
- 주변 또는 집적 회로에 의해 주소지정된 다수의 픽셀을 포함하는 액정 스크린에 있어서,상기 픽셀은 제1 항 내지 제 4항중 어느 한 항에서 청구된 광전자 셀들로 이루어지는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 스크린.
- 제 9 항에 있어서.상기 부가적인 막 또는 막들은 이동될 수 있고, 관찰자가 그 막에서 교차를 풀도록 조정가능한 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 스크린.
