Description
Claims (14)
- 기판상에 형성된 틸트배향의 고정화된 액정성 고분자 필름이며, 이 틸트배향이 이 액정성 고분자의 다이렉터와 기판 평면이 이루는 각도의 평균치가 5°∼ 85°인 것을 특정으로 하는 액정성 고분자 필름.
- 제1항에 있어서 , 액정성 고분자가 호메오트로픽 배향성 액정성 고분자와 호모지니어스 배향성 액정성 고분자로 되는 액정성 고분자 조성물인 것을 특징으로 하는 액정성 고분자 필름.
- 제1항에 있어서, 기판이 우선 프리틸트 방향을 갖는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정성 고분자 필름.
- 제1항에 있어서, 액정성 고분자가 주쇄에 탄소수 2 이상의 알킬기를 갖는 방향족 단위를 포함하는 폴리에스텔, 주쇄에 탄소수 3이상의 지방족 단위를 포함하는 폴리에스텔 및 주쇄에 불소 또는 함불소 치환기를 갖는 방향족 단위를 포함하는 폴리애스텔 그룹으로 부터 선택된 1종의 폴리에스텔을 필수 성분으로 하는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정성 고분자 필름.
- 제1항에 있어서, 기판상에 형성된 틸트배향과 비틀림배향 또는 비틀림 틸트배향 등의 고정화된 액정성 고분자 필름이고, 이 비틀림 틸트배향이 이 액정성 고분자 다이렉터와 기판 평면이 이루는 각도의 평균치가 5°∼ 85°이며 또한, 이 액정성 고분자 다이렉터의 기판 평면에의 투영부분이 막두께 방향에 연속적으로 회전하고 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정성 고분자 필름.
- 제5항에 있어서, 액정성 고분자가 호메오트로픽 배향성 액정성 고분자와 호모지니어스 배향성 액정성 고분자로 되는 액정성 고분자 조성물임을 특징으로 하는 액정성고분자 필름.
- 제5항에 있어서, 기판이 우선 프리틸트 방향을 갖는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정성 고분자 필름.
- 제5항에 있어서, 액정성 고분자가 광학활성 단위를 포함하는 고분자 화합물 및 광학활성 화합물을 포함하는 액정성 고분자 조성물로 되는 그룹에서 선택되는 것을 특징으로 액정성 고분자 필름.
- 투광성 기판 및 이 기판상에 형성시킨 배향 고정화된 액정성 고분자층 보다 실질적으로 되는 액정표시 소자용 보상판으로서, 이 액정성 고분자층이 틸트배향과 비틀림배향 또는 비틀림 틸트배향과 이 고정화되고 있고, 이 비틀림 틸트배향이 이 액정성 고분자의 다이렉터와 기판 평면이 이루는 각도의 평균치가 각기 5°∼ 85°이고, 또 이 액정성 고분자의 다이렉터의 기판 평면에의 투영부분이 막두께 방향에 연속적으로 회전하고 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시 소자용 보상판.
- 기판상에 형성된 틸트배향과 비틀림배향 또는 비틀림 틸트배향의 고정화된 액정성 고분자 필름으로서, 이 비틀림 틸트배향이 이 액정성 고분자 다이렉터와 기판 평면이 이루는 각도의 평균치가 각기 5°∼85°이고,또한 이 액정성 고분자의 다이렉터의 기판 평면에의 투영부분이 막두께 방향에 연속적으로 회전하고 있는 액정성 고분자 필름을 사용한 액정표시 소자의 시야각(視野角) 보상방법.
- 액정전이점 보다 낮은 온도에서 유리상태로 되는 액정성 고분자와 기판위에서 액정전이점을 넘는 온도에서, 액정성 고분자의 평균배향 방향이 기판 표면에 대하여 5°∼ 85°경사진 상태에서 배향시켜, 이 액정성 고분자의 다이렉터와 기판 평면이 이루는 각도의 평균치가 5°∼ 85°, 틸트상태에서 배향시켜 다음에 액정성 전이점보다 낮은 온도로 냉각하고, 액정성 고분자의 배향방향이 기판 표면에 대하여 틸트한 상태로서 고정화하는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정성 고분자 필름의 제조방법.
- 제11항에 있어서, 액정성 고분자를 기판상에서, 액정전이전을 넘는 온도에서 액정성 고분자 다이렉터와 기판 평면이 이루는 각도의 평균치가 5°∼ 85°이고, 또한 이 액정성 고분자 다이렉터의 기판평면에의 투영부분이 막두께 방향에 연속적으로 회전하고 있는 비틀림 틸트상태에서 배향시켜, 다음에 액정성 전이점보다 낮은 온도로 냉각하고 이 비틀림 틸트상태를 고정화하는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정성 고분자 필름의 제조방법 .
- 제2항 또는 제6항에 있어서, 호메오트로픽 배향성 액정성 고분자와 호모지니어스 배향성 액정성 고분자의 비율이 중량비로 99 : 1 ∼ 0.5 : 99.5로 되는 이들의 액정성 고분자 필름.
- 제2항에 있어서, 광학적 활성 물질을 함유하는 것인 액정성 고분자 필름.
